    It's not like restoring items takes effort... a Certain MMO has the process practically automated for certain cases (vendored and disenchanted items). You get three restores every 30 days there, and I certainly can't think of anyone who abuses it.

    This is a game. It's not some place where people should feel the need to get on their mighty high horses and demand that some person who made a mistake "deal" with it or "learn" from it or whatever. Mistakes happen, even to the most careful. There's no point in punishing people for it in a game.

    Careless player is careless. Given the time that's elapsed if you haven't farmed up the Tomes so you can try again to buy the right ones clearly you didn't need them in the first place.

    Good luck Ichimaru. I finally FINALLY got the item switched out for my one-time restore. Took them about a month + to even get in touch with me, then it was in-game mailings to say that they had been unable to get in touch with me (I've been on for a few hours every single night), and that if I still wanted the exchange done to drop the item bought by mistake, re-contact them, and I'd receive it. Finally just received it about a week ago. (I'd bought the Sorcerer's Tonban by mistake instead of Summoner's Waistclout.)


    And gee, I really wish I was as super-awesome as you people that NEVER ever ever make a mistake, ever. Never click on the wrong thing, never click through too quickly because your dog is barking or the phone is ringing or you hear a strange noise in the house, or even just your FC is saying something that you want to respond to/get in on. Especially considering the twenty million confirmation things you have to click on in the game to do *anything* that have my (and probably others') eyes glazed over whenever I see one.

    And yeah, you can always farm up more tomes, etc. But that takes time, and took even more time before patch 2.1, when the myth cap was 300. Especially annoying when you're trying to be as geared as possible for Coil, etc., and if you're not you're letting down your friends/FC mates as well as yourself.

    Zero-tolerance policies of any type are a pain in the butt and silly. Things should be taken on a case by case basis. Especially in a game such as this one, that has various glitches and bugs that aren't always discovered right away, and where the GMs seem to take a "it's not our fault no matter what happens, it's ALWAYS the player's fault" policy.

    So yeah, more than one item restoration would be good, and better yet, put in a system that lets us have a limited time to trade the item back in for the seals (before zoning out, within an hour, whatever) so that we don't have to pester the GMs with this crap in the first place.
