Come on Square . A Book for scholar and summoner ? Needs to be changed . A Ruler with numbers coming off it when casting OR An Old time Pointer with chalk or letters coming off when casting . Much Cooler then a Book.

Lets face it , The Book is B O R I N G !

All the other classes have a cool look. Scholars Unite !

I like the book too. It's true it is hard to make the "ultimate book" but the principle is cool

As the most intelligent of the classes and jobs, books seem to fit quite nicely.

I really like the book too in fact the main reason why i chose to go scholar instead if whm was because of the book, plus compared to the cricket bats used by paladins and the bits of trees the whm/cnjs passes for wands and the backward coat hangers monks uses as fists i'd say the book isn't that bad =/. ( if its anything i'd say SE might want to reconsider their weapons design team xD) Although when it comes to the relics i can see what you mean everyone else's relic is much more interesting tbh i even think the summoner's relic is nice just the scholar's relic is a bit plain but the actual idea of a book for a weapon i think is awesome

Book seems strange at first, but it grows on you. Very fitting of a scholar, plus it would take an enormous amount of development time to change it, which would ultimately be pointless.

books make perfect sense for scholar.. I mean, I suppose we could have a giant chalkboard or something.. but books seem a little more portable.

I cannot remember which author or show or whatever it was, but writing one's name down in a book as a sacrifice or something to summon a beast has been done before too, so books make sense for SMN.

I like the book, but i just get my hopes up so much when i do primals and see a book, then realize it's a scholar book. -_-;

Books are plenty fine. I just wish that high-end books stopped looking like overly ornate shields made out of papier-mâché. What's wrong with a subtle glow to the diagrams in the books, or some letters in Eorzean font spewing out when open? Or heck, just some fancy crests like Deus Ex Verbis has. Burning spikes and green feathers on books is sinful!
