CT auto assign loot when disconnected/crashed

I just got auto assigned a DRG chest because i got booted from the game by a nice error 90000 while doing CT last boss.

I got auto assigned a piece of gear that i dont need (got DRG AF2/ALLAGAN chest)
and now im locked out for the week.

Imho the system is retarded, and the fact that i cant appel and ask a gm to fix the problem is... no words really.

This is more of a problem with impatient players leaving before people can properly deal with the drop than with the system.

Getting forced to accept a drop when you got 90k'd is unfortunate, and SE should definitely fix it somehow (possibly by considering all logged-out players in an instance as having passed on any available loot).

Try casting lot's/passing before skipping the cutscene. If you bring up the chat prompt during the CS you'll be able to see the loot notice, etc.

But yeah, people exiting immediately is bloody annoying, it's not that hard to wait an extra 15 seconds for the loot to fall. Having said that, it's allowed by the game mechanics and probably needs addressing by SE so the potential of this happening is removed from CT.

GM's can't do anything about it. I had a similar problem and they just give you the general "Sucks to be you, anything else I can help with?" response.

This is absurd. Why does people exiting immediately cause the loot to be auto distributed? Why can't the timer continue as normal? I had a few moments of lag and then my loot chance for the ENTIRE WEEK IS GONE. I did not think this could happen to me, but it all happened incredibly fast. The developer response to this issue is infuriating. They blame the player when this issue is clearly their fault. They will not listen to any complaint or criticism. "Sorry for the inconvenience."

It is not a big deal. I did something similar on week one of CT release. I got monk gloves...did I whine. Nope, accepted it and drove on. Things like this happen all the time.

Would make it so a loot cannot be attributed to someone who hasn't rolled solve it without creating other problems?

If timer goes out and you haven't rolled on it, it would be considered a pass.
If every other player has passed and you haven't rolled yet, then timer keeps going. (that's the case on every chest except the last one).


To prevent an instance from going on when all players have already left, just consider everyone leaving while the instance has been cleared a "full pass", basically, when the last player leaves the instance, and hasn't rolled, end timer with loot "unable to obtain".

My suggestion is that once everyone passes or leaves the gear is randomly assigned to a player. But but it does not count toward your loot lock out for the week. That way gear doesn't go to waste and people still have their chance for what they really want.
