Don't know about that, but you can drag sets to a bar, and access them that way.
yeah I'm trying to make 1 icon to open the entire page, don't want to clutter my screen.. might have to though![]()
You can change the size of the hotkey bar and make it pretty small. Do that and shove it vertically against the side of your screen behind your Duty list or whatever.
(They aren't actually in the position, I just put them there to demonstrate... Also, Auto-attack ftw)
1. 60%
2. 80%
3. 100%
4. 120%
5. 140%
I put them next to the menu when the menu is at its usual size. As you can see, the hotkey can be shrunk down to about the same size as the menu. My job-switching hotkeys are put vertically and put in the bottom right corner above said menu. Barely takes up any space. My Macro hotkeys (The 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 icons) are horizontal and between my HP/MP/TP bar and my menu.
Very hard to notice them taking up space. Not quite as good as a button to open the gear-list, but it's still handy.
Moogle: Black Mage ftw.

Here's a link to a bunch of rotation and DPS numbers I wrote up to try help BLM see they aren't as weak as they might think.
A button to pull up the gear set list would be very nice.
I currently have a hotbar with them all manually added running down the side of my screen, but if I could just have a macro that would open the Gear Set List interface, that would be waaaaaay more convenient.
At a slot for each gear set, it's a bit excessive for controller users, who only have one cross-hotbar active at a time (though we can have a second one with a dual-trigger combo and can cycle between others).
I settled for cycling gear sets in the case of crafting classes (since I do a lot of class-switching when crafting), so my carpenter hotbar has the blacksmith gear set, my blacksmith hotbar has the armorer gear set, my armorer hotbar the jeweler gear set, and so on through all eight of them. But if I want to switch them out of order, I still have to go back to the main menu, then character window, then gear set list.
I also keep a combat class (Bard at the moment) gear set on the hotbars for each of my gathering classes, so I can queue for dungeons as a Bard and then gather shards or other supplies while waiting for the DF queue to pop. Then whenever I queue as a different class, I switch that hotbar slot to the corresponding gear set.
But just having a single command we can place in a single hotbar slot across all classes to directly bring up the gear set list would be a lot simpler.
I think this is a great idea instead of eating up so many hotbar keys.
I don't think you need to use a macro, isn't there a button in the general section of actions and traits for you to drag to a hotbar?
If not, you can use "/armourychest" in a macro according to http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest.../text_command/
There's no general command to open the gear set list. And opening the armoury chest also doesn't open the gear set list.I don't think you need to use a macro, isn't there a button in the general section of actions and traits for you to drag to a hotbar?

10 posts per page is only the default setting; it is bad, and you should feel bad if you haven't changed it.

I know this thread is very old but it's the first thread I found on the topic. I was able to figure this out by just trying random commands.
The following command which you CAN put on a macro will open your gear set list:
/gearset
