Horror Dungeon

Could it be possible to have a dungeon that is meant to be scary or creepy of some kind?

Music is ambiance, not a song.

Everyone can only see a few feet in front of them. Force the group to stay together otherwise the encroaching darkness pulls them into the dark and party member gets killed by a monster that can't be seen. Don't give a timer on how long you can be apart to add to the scariness.

Have lots of puzzle that that you quickly split up or something. Maybe have sacrifice a party member to move one temporarily?

Just something dark and creepy. Imply things that maybe you want us to think, such as maybe Louisoix grandkids really don't get along.

If the game is supposed to be a theme-park, where are the haunted houses?

EverQuest2 has The Estate Of Unreast which is exactly like this and very, very fun. It would be awesome to see a proper horror themed instance. While Haukke Manor is a whole lot of fun it does kind of lack the horror vibe.

Turn gamma all the way down. You will hardly be able to see a thing. Not joking, I used to have too low gamma and did a lot of derp cause of it, aggroing foes I couldn't see (I also have nameplates off) and not being able to see where I was walking (good luck finding the stairs in WP). Shame that darkness wasn't shared :P

But yeah, it was such a let down for Haukke, I expected a full blown horror dungeon and instead....nothing horror at all :/ The scariest thing I can think is WP the first times you do it when Tonberries are really a Silent Hill kind of monster for you...but dies soon once you get geared and experienced in it <.<
I'd personally like something ala Shivering Isles, with torture rooms and all and lot of madness...after all there's a lot of such lore in the game, but they seem to want the dungens more about fights then ambience sadly.

Its such an awesome idea though. It got me thinking if the tonberry stalkers scared the hell out of me how would I do in a horror themed dungeon? lol!

If they made WP really dark and only tonberry lanterns the only visible light to allow us to see that would be a start. But WP would have to be redone to be scary.

Anyone use to play EQOA? The isle of dread was awesome and creepy.
