Ive done several peiste/boar/toad maps and only ever had 1 chest?

Does anyone know the reqs to actually get the chest at the end? they always end up silver reward for some reason. Im really confused :/

its random i do believe, we hve run several pieste maps and gotten 2 gold, and like 4 or 5 silver. The two gold had a mini boss kind of guy to kill. the silver ones had a set of mobs that were just pitiful to kill. think it depends on what spawns

Right, of course I kill everything or i wouldn't get a reward but fail XD
The randomness makes sense as I've got 1 chest in like 6. Thinking about it, that ended with a boss. :/

The maps I have used I run to the area, use the ability and it spawns a chest. I open the chest and it spawns monsters. I kill the monsters and open the chest.

What happens with you guys who get no chest?

I've never not found a chest after Digging, but I typically only do the Peisteskin ones. I've done a Boarskin one solo once.

I have done 3 piesteskins, 6 boarskins, never not founding a chest.

No, there's the initial chest after digging. You kill all the waves of monsters or the boss. You get items in your inventory and once i got to actually open the chest. About 8 times the "need/greed" chest wasn't available..

I had to ask you guys as it has baffled me, did another 3 peiste yesterday and not one we got a chest. XD

So are you talking about not getting loot to roll on then? I've always seen the chest after digging as well.

Sometimes you'll get a chest's contents divided among the group, with no loot to need/greed. Sometimes you'll get multiple loot rolls from a chest. My most recent was helping a friend with his boar and pieste skin maps, with the best loot received being a NQ silver ingot. Then I do a goatskin map solo and get a blue fox hide AND level 45 aetherial gear from it.

But never once have I got a map and not have a chest at the "X". Only thing I can think of is that you might be digging in the wrong spot.

Okay, that makes more sense then. I don't know why you're calling it a chest, because that's just confusing; you should probably stop calling it that.

There is always a literal chest, in the sense that there's a box you open. However, there is not always a loot list with junk to lot on. It's random. Usually, if you don't get a loot list, you generally get more raw gil instead.
