can you buy subscriptions before you need it ?

hello,
I seen a player earlier with a mount you receive after buying 270 days worth of play time (I asked him/her where she got it from and told me).
ive tried to navigate my way through the payment website but I can only seem to register for reoccurring payments.
Is there as step by step guide on how to pay in advance ?

if you live in europe you can buy gametime cards, else no

you actually can "buy" subscriptions in advance, basically by paying a lump sum for the number of days listed. just go into your subscription options in the mog station and select the "pay with crysta" option.

Paying with crysta vs. a credit card doesn't change when you're allowed to pay. You still can't add extra time until the end of your current subscription.

The crysta option will not purchase game time in advance. It will only purchase crysta which can then be used to pay a sub once it become due (I understand).

With a recurring subscription you can select to pay each 30, 90 or 180 days in advance.

If in Europe then you can use game time cards (codes) to load up to 180 game time in advance - but no more than 180.

Thanks for the replies. So when my free trial is up, I can then use my card to purchase 270 days worth of game time ?

If the maximum I can select is 180, can I then select another 90 on top ?

No. If you pay for 180 days, you will not be able to pay for more time until those 180 days are up.

Veteran rewards are for your total paid time. If you subscribe for long enough, you will eventually get the 270-day reward.

They sell 60 day gametime cards for FFXIV in the USA now. It was japan only (and maybe europe) but now we have access to it to. I screwed up and had my account pay for 90 instead of 180 so I don't have my behemoth mount yet, so I'm gonna have to fix it with those gametime cards, they only problem is that I'm legacy so the gametime card will charge me $15 a month instead of $10 a month.
