I don't remember where he said it, but Yoshi already said how the game will be expanded upon. New classes will be added with new patches and the level cap will be raised with the new expansion. I would expect the fully released PS4 version will accompany the next expansion since it will invite a whole new slew of players (hopefully).

From what i know, they will patch every 3 months but May 2014 is 5 months from patch 2.1

to be honest this week many people back to daily routine of Coil > CT or Primal weapon farm > Treasure Hunt or beast tribe quest > PvP >maybe housing in 1 or 2 months for some FC. And people have to do this for 5 months

that isnt proof or an confirmation of anything beside the beta testing for ps4. it still could come out in February.

The PlayStation 4 will be releasing here in Japan on February 22, a date which will also mark the beginning of beta testing for the PlayStation 4 version of FFXIV: ARR.

May 2014 is not a date in that context... It is just wishing everyone a good 2014... There were several hints; the context of the sentence, the fact that it came at the end of the post, etc.

There is no indication that 2.2 will come in May... None from the sentence you quoted, at least.

I think i was wrong translating what Yoshi post since English isn't my native language. I thought, May 2014 on Yoshi's post meant we will get news (patch 2.2) on that month. But it seems have a different understanding for that sentence. It's just a wishing.

Then again seeing the pharos sub-boss got me super bummed out that it was just a humanoid in a GLA skin... don't want to get my hopes up again. :\
