So A Maelstrom Reborn?

Work on the PlayStation 4 is full steam ahead, but needless to say, we're already waist deep in work for patch 2.2 as well. Leviathan is preparing to unleash his fury on Eorzea, new quests, items, and recipes are being added, and the Binding Coil of Bahamut will see additional twists and turns. Oh, and in case you were wondering, the keyword for 2.2 is looking to be "Maelstrom."

This part of Yoshi-P's letter to all the FF14 Players makes me think what will 2.2 bring other than the known contents.

I hope the 2.2 Storyline brings a conclusion to the 1.0 Lisma Lominsa storyline and we finally get to fight that Travanchet guy who just disappeared from the storyline in 1.0 after 1.0 Lisma Lominsa story was compeleted.

Also the main theme is Maelstrom for 2.2 which could mean a lot of things.

(Still hoping something about Musketeer will be released since a good amount of Malestrom members are Musketeers. Anything would be nice like some info to why Musketeer is taking so long.)

i doubt the 2.2 will come in may, it's way too far, almost 6 month, it's more the 2.3 for this one.
without forget that the 2.2 will be around leviathan and we know him follower, i guess after may they will release 2.3 with more area acces (around coerthas since normally we must get closer of ishgard and in the 1.x coerthas was really huge far more than what we have now.)

the 2.2 it's the end of the coming of leviathan and maybe even ramuh (who know), gilgamesh will pop out too (seen on some screen recently). but if they want to add new...force, they need to add more area that a given since all the area we have, already have the enemy really well installed.

without forget that it's greatly possible we will get a raise of the level cap around this period, i still hope for the 2.2 tough, or maybe new class. V1 player are 50 for some for more of 3 years time to raise this level cap.

they had say while the beta, that the musketeer will not come before we get closer of the empire, since they are the only one with the technologie enough for this class, without say that they will need to add a new craft for this (engineer)
and personally i hope they will work a lot around the musketeer (maybe because i'm french diantre!) but i think they need to make it really really different of the archer.

I think you're confusing Musketeer class with the Gunblade class.

Musketeer Guild and NPCs are already in the game and Yoshi-P has stated it is his #1 priorty to get the class out becuase of how the game has the guild in Limsa and NPCs in the game.

ummmmm the GLD/PLD 1h sword skin from lightning is a freakin GUNBLADE and didn't gaius used a gunblade himself as seen ingame? btw i'm still looking at those empty desk on the supposed MSK guild receptionist across the MRD's ones
