Because plans are not necessarily the final product. If they would show their plans to us and we wouldn't get some, hatestorm would be enormous.
people get mad cuz we dont have all the plans in front of us
people get mad cuz they dont agree with the plans given to us
either way, people get mad

I agree with everyone saying that they wish they could level up the new advanced jobs from lvl 1 so that they can learn how to play them. However, if the only difference between the armoury classes and the advanced jobs is the ability to use 'specialized abilities', I really don't think it's going to take a whole lot of time to learn how to use them, and I really don't feel like having to level up from 1 to do that. Now, if there were some more lower level game content to explore, then hell yeah I would love to level up my new advanced job from lvl 1... but sadly that's not the case.
Also, most players are already familiar with the basic roles of party play (tank, DD, healer), and they'll figure out quickly how to use their newly unlocked jobs. I'm really not too worried... And if by chance you run into someone who doesn't know what they're doing, just take a couple minutes of your life to offer some suggestions and be on your way.

for gods sake, just dont make me earn like PLD specific skills with "marks" im not a fan of the randomly crappy mark system.
It's also been stated that classes are being revamped to feel more unique. People who are already level 50 might have to relearn allot of what there classes/jobs will entail. This to me is going to be a time sink when the overhaul is released.
A big reason why there's little point in having you level the jobs to learn them is that there's no levelling content that would ever make use of specialty jobs, so there'd be no learning. You'd just kindof futz around pretending your job actually amounted to anything in levequests or eft and raptor grinding.
The jobs are more for the raid content that isn't in the game yet, at specific goal and performance events. Probably not so much for day to day life like sp-get.

Poor Bayohne lol
Sometimes I wish they would have shut down the servers after the first month, and said "We will continue to give you daily updates on the progress of FFXIV. However, we are going to shut the server's down so that when our players return to a new more advanced, solid, and overall complete game it will have a higher impact".
they indeed should of, kept a beta server to test stuff and get feedback, but allowing everyone to rank up everything to rank 50 (including DoL/DoH) and then changing all the things around without a wipe of the server is not te best thing they came up with.Sometimes I wish they would have shut down the servers after the first month, and said "We will continue to give you daily updates on the progress of FFXIV.
