I have been playing the game for 30 days tomorrow and was running through Limsa when all of a sudden without any warning, my screen went black and I was taken to my Home screen of my PS3. I have never been booted from the game before and no error message showed up either.

Does anybody know what this is?

This is a common issue on the PS3 version, it randomly boots you back to the XMB with no errors or warning. Annoying but not as jarring as the lock ups which also happen randomly and then usually forces you to perform a HHD check

Yeah as a PS3 user you should better get used to it. SE might come up with great hints what you can do but in the end, it is nothing but the Game itself that causes this.
