Controller Periodically Unresponsive (PS3 and PC)

Heya! So there is a recurring issue for users of both PS3 and PC which involves the signal between the controller and the game which causes said signal to periodically drop (regardless if the controller is wired or wireless), causing a brief window of complete controller unresponsiveness.

After trying multiple fixes, working with the FFXIV Technical Support folks and being unable to come up with a fix that works, my work pursuing answers to this situation on the internet for weeks (all I have found are more people that have this issue with no solutions to be found), and going so far as to drop $100 on a myriad of different controllers on the off chance I would find a single brand that actually works, I have officially run out of options. I no longer believe that this is a technical support issue, but rather a legitimate bug in the code which causes certain controllers on certain platforms to suffer this issue.

Here is a thread from the Technical Support forum with all of the collected findings that myself and others have come across. Honestly, those of us who are having this issue merely want some acknowledgment from the community representatives or the developers that they are aware of this issue and that it will be worked on.

    Thanks,

    BP

Thank you HakuroDK for your post outlining the trouble you are having with a possible system error,

In order for me to submit your report, I will need some more information. You can go Here and you can find templates for Windows and PS3 that represent the kind of details we need. Once you can provide such information we can move forward and resolve this issue. For now I am going to move this thread into Insufficient Information. You will not be able to reply, so once you have gathered the requested data please create a new bug report thread.
