Party finder ilevel restrictions

i admit the ilevel recquired in the DF is way too low for some defy or dungeon....

Before the ilvl req, I had a bunch of horribly undergeared DPS down the heart on Titan HM. They weren't good enough to avoid wiping on bombs or plumes, but we're talking ilvl50 average for all of them -- two DRGs, a BRD, and a BLM with ilvl55 weapons and ilvl50-60 armor with ilvl40-60 accessories. Competent players meeting the current ilvl requirement can clear it handily.

That's just it. They have this requirement because they're bad players and need to be carried.

That's the point though, the system does not require the creator to meet the level they set. Also for reasons beyond what I can fathom the max iLVL goes up to 200, but perhaps they are planning ahead.

I see this all the time, especially with the extreme primals, even sent tells to the leaders asking if i could join there i90 extreme titan when i was only 67 and they said i was "to weak".

So I set up my own party of almost everyone being i67, it took about 5 hours cause absolutely no one had any idea wtf they where doing, and we where all noobs. But we all stayed, learned, and won.

The fact that we won must of been a mistake on SE's part because clearly the only ppl that are able to beat titan extreme are ppl that have a ilv. of 90 or above, right?

Damm 5 hours, maybe they set a higher level to avoid taking so long.

nah that was taking ppl that had no clue how to do the fight and no skill what so ever, now i can do it with 67's in about 10 minutes or so.

This was a pretty common occurrence in WoW, you'd always see people spamming for parties of people who were way overgeared for content. I guess it's natural that people choose the path of least resistance.

In this case it's how the players are using the tool's given to them. your always going to have "that guy" that wants to get carried through "whatever" and use the tools available to do so. It is a good feature and a way to limit who joins you "if you create the party you have that right". Me, personally I will take a group of minimum geared folks to Titan or other HM content, I completed this content with practically the bare min when the game first came out; I know they can. As long as they are willing to listen and follow instructions, that the most OP thing in any game, not overstacking a group, its cooperation and communication. Example: when I first beat Titan HM it was on a Saturday morning; I hooked up with a bunch of guys in Toll in a shout party and no one had defeated it in the group, we all had patience and communicated with one another and after about 1.5 hrs of tries we downed it.

If all available groups with openings are over your average item level, why not start one I bet your not the only one with a lower average that are looking to do "whatever" as well.

I'm all in for not letting the party leader set an iLvl higher than its own. It annoys me entering some party with an iLvl80+ requirement and having the leader in AK gear.

Just leave the party if you see that the leader is lower ILevel than he set. That's not acceptable and I personally would never set an ilevel requirement that's not at least a few levels below my own (unless my own is really the lowest reasonable ilevel and it's just to learn a fight)
