Cannot locate "Level Sync" function for FATES

Hi y'all, thanks for checking out my post. I'm sure it sounds ridiculous, and I feet retarded for having this problem in the first place, but I need help so I'm finally going to post it.

As the post title suggests, my husband and I cannot locate the Level Sync option when prompted in an area with a lower-level FATE. Yes, our levels are six or more above that of the FATE and the big red message appears which tells us to look in the Duty List to level sync so that we can join said FATE. We have looked EVERYWHERE and cannot find this option. We're probably just missing something very obvious, but I did finally send this problem to a GM and received no reply.

I'm attaching screenshots so that people can see that there is no option for Level Sync obvious in the menu.

    I've looked EVERYWHERE...

It's happening on three separate computers that we've tried, with the regular DVD-installed version of FFXIV ARR. We're using Windows 7 Enterprise, running it in admin mode, etc. Everything else in the game seems to work. Level sync works just fine in dungeons; we just can't figure out how to turn it on manually.

So, could anyone tell me where to look that I've missed? Or is the option just not there on our games?

    Thanks!

When you are in a FATE a message will appear where the quest tracker normally is, the level sync button is in that message. Judging by your images it seems you have the quest tracking part of the UI turned off.
Turn it back on and the level sync button will be in there.

Did you somehow turn off your 'duty list'? Cause either that or going by your screenshots your not even in a FATE.

It should be in your duty list like it says in your screen shot, you either have it some where else where you can't see it or turned it off.

If you have it on but can't see it:
    1.) go to SYSTEM
    2.) go to HUD LAYOUT
3.) in the drop down box find DUTY LIST

    if you have disabled it:
    1.)go to SYSTEM
    2.) go to CHARACTER CONFIGURATION
    3.)go to UI SETTINGS
    4.)scroll down to CHARACTER INFORMATION
5.) make sure that DISPLAY DUTY LIST is checked and save it, you should than be able to see it

if you still can't see it than repeat the steps for the "If you have it on but can't see it:".

If that doesn't work than I will try to think of something else for you but i really don't know what else it could be.

    YaY!!!

Yay, and awesome, and thank you so much!!!! Worked like a charm!

Too bad you have to have the duty list showing to do it, I'm on a laptop and have very limited space to work with. I like being able to see myself and what I'm doing. I'll just have to pull it back out for FATES and hope they implement a change. Might be making a suggestion for that in another Forum, lol.

Thanks again!!! Now I can do FATES with my friends!

If your on limited screen space this might make things harder to read. But in order to free up some real estate, you can select the Hud Element (For Ex. the duty list) and make it smaller so it takes up less space, simple press Ctrl+Home with the hud element selected like above. There are 3 sizes to chose from.
