Please stop begging for commendations.

I've ever only seen 1 person bring commendations up after a run. I wouldn't really call it "begging", but the dude pretty much said (was a whm btw) "Don't forget about commendations, especially to those I raised and healed". Needless to say after I read that there was no chance in hell I'd give them my vote, and I could only hope no one else gave him any too. I got 2 without asking/bringing it up/begging for it that same run :P

Anyways, I like the whole commendation thing, but if people get too desperate about it and start begging for them then yeah there's no way I'd ever vote for them haha even if they actually were one of the better players in a run.

But man lol @ that dude who got almost 300 commendations in like 4 days...

The first dungeon I went into after resubbing to the game in December last year, the people in my group were saying that the DPS should commend each other, and the healer and tank should do the same so that everyone would get one.
That's the only thing close to "begging" I've encountered so far.

I usually only give commendations to those I feel did their best.
Whenever I don't feel that anyone deserves a commendation, but receive multiple myself, I feel bad once I've left the dungeon. D:

Don't know why people need to beg for them. I've gotten a decent amount just talking to people in the dungeon since we're usually steam rolling it anyway.

Just be a nice person, you'll get a steady stream of commendations, I've received them as white mage, drg, and pld.

It's really funny seeing the random in the group beg/threaten for a commendation when everyone else in the group went into the dungeon/guildhest together.

I agree it's kinda pathetic, but the problem is, many of them are doing it because they know some people don't even bother with it/think about it, so by asking, they have a chance of getting the "Whatever" votes.

I've earned most of my marks as a paladin or scholar, but the few I earned as a summoner I earned. Mostly cause of saving the group if the healer was off in lala land.

Like I said, I actually stopped when I saw the mounts picture, I would have finished since the 26th of december. Also, genuine people actually gave me those commendations (I just spammed the roulettes).

I'm confused... So you stopped being helpful and nice to people on dungeon runs to prevent yourself from getting commendations?
