Is moving to the side really that difficult? Good luck on Titan then.
Unfortunately, you fit your post in right before mine. I was responding to the more negative responses to the change, this in particular:
But thanks for your equally useless response.
There have been a bunch of times i've run this in the past few days, where right before the "get under his butt" plumes, eruptions covering the spot where you have to go and either not being stunned or not able to be stunned. So many wipes have been caused by this lately. Doesn't matter if you can avoid them, if they are placed bad, you won't make it to the spot in time or eat too many eruptions to survive.
This is a player issue. Like Titan, Ifrit has a pretty set rotation. Before those set of plumes, people can be on the outer edge, ready for eruptions. They they rotate on the outside circle til they finish and then run in. Stun is most certainly not needed. There have been a bunch of times i've run this in the past few days, where right before the "get under his butt" plumes, eruptions covering the spot where you have to go and either not being stunned or not able to be stunned. I've pugged Ifrit so many times that tanks not interrupting was common. Dodging the eruptions isn't difficult, and even if you do get hit by one, it's not going to kill you. HM Ifrit is a joke without interrupts and an even bigger joke with them. There have been a bunch of times i've run this in the past few days, where right before the "get under his butt" plumes, eruptions covering the spot where you have to go and either not being stunned or not able to be stunned. Honestly, if this was about anything but Ifrit, maybe I'd be a little more sympathetic but not being able to interrupt him is hardly worth complaining about.
Seems you and I are the only ones that actually read the patch notes, not just the new battles addedIt's not specific to Ifrit. It's diminishing returns on status afflictions (like stun) in general. The timer for resistance reset starts with the last effect now, instead of the first one.
