Really? Relic is absolutely equals to experience.

Cihmera, Hydra, AK, Hard primals... really... relic related quests are there to drill you out of being a noob

Of course the biggest lesson is to learning to listen and following orders...
but most noobs fail at that too.

noobs = ppl with no brain who fails really hard at listening

When players can easily buy themselves through the whole relic quest, it's not a very good sign of experience.
Hell, there are people in myth/allagan that can't even run a proper Castrum Meridianum.
It is probably only when something is really new that gear can be an indicator of experience, but right after that, gear says nothing at all.
