I waited an extra week to make sure I had relic +1 for CT since its the first raid.
It was definitely not necessary. As long as people know what to do it is very easy.
There's a video guide that explains it.

I'd like to throw my 2 cents in here, stuff like this is why video games are getting a bad rap lately, can't we all just have fun with it like the good times when you and a buddy would spend all day tryna beat double dragons battletoads (freakin great game) and you shared that foolish sense of accomplishment lol we were all happy and life was good
I am the tank this realm deserves but not the one it's ready for yet
So I'll grind WP waiting
Because I'm not just tank, I'm a silent protector
A watchful guardian of the party
Eorzea's White Knight
simple solution = a way to set minimum ilvl. if you enter 70 you will only be put in a team of ppl with ilvl 70+, the party finder has this future but having it on DT is easier..just click and keep playing = less effort
Fantasy above reality.

@OP; sounds like someone failed to explain to the new people how the boos fights work in a concise and oriented manner. Maybe if you communicated to the alliance you wouldn't be failing so bad? Btw I think you are confusing Noob with Newb.
I guess I was wrong about relic being requirement. But rather I value the experience of going through the relic quests. You know what? no matter how geared you are... people just don't listen. Bottom line, alliance activity in ffxiv is just bad bad idea... Out of 24 ppl, you are bound to get couple of idiots that just won't listen. If you listen to what other experienced people say, it will be smooth run. I have had multiple case of kicking these people and having rest of the CT run go smooth.
Bottom line, if you don't know CT, at least learn to listen and follow orders. Is that being elitist?![]()

I don't think the gear matters so much for CT as long as you do your best. What I don't like are people who don't even try, people who spiritbond in dungeon; basically sponges. An undergeared person can do well as long as they try their hardest, an overgeared person can do incredibly poorly because they are overconfident and they are interested in making gil by spiritbonding bad gear while their team mates do all the hard work.
Gear really has nothing to do with it, bad players are bad players.
I don't see how spirit bonders are sponges, I mean if you go in there in Militia equipment for your job that's going to work for them. Conversely I've seen fully Allaganed out types who just sit at the door and expect others to do their work. Kept getting vote kicked but hey she's a tank so if she cues for one in progress guess where she end sup?I don't think the gear matters so much for CT as long as you do your best. Does CT require full DL? Heck no. But DL gear is so insanely easy to obtain, why would you be without it in the first place? I got full DL in a about two weeks with just doing the roulette runs and a few WP runs when I could. I play about 3 hours a night on average.
But the OP calling people names in inexcusable in my opinion. It is not needed. Express your opinion that you think everyone should have full DL and relic +1, but its quite obvious the game does not require that gear to run CT.
What we suffer is "the curse of knowledge". For new people, most of the dungeons after level 24 is considered "intense". For us, we just don't understand why newbies do not "get the mechanic" when everything is spelled out for you right in front of your screen... For them Brayflox is HARD ("you want me to Esuna all of you? move out of the way? and cure three people???), Sunken Temple is "ZOMG WTF was that", Cutter's Cry was "intense" and Titan "baby trial" was "fck this, I swear I ran and out of the train track from hell".

I don't see the problem with this OP. Obviously ppl are going to want the best gear possible to beat Titan HM with.
