Ultima Hard Mode Laser Mechanic Broken

My turn to post a bug.

Didn't notice, but I'd guess to be around 11AM to 7PM

Steps:
During the fight with Ultima (Hard Mode) he will get to a point around half his HP where he summons magitek bits which fire lasers at players. If the player does not move out of the path of these lasers before they go off, then the player takes quite a bit of damage. There is a bug in which the player simply uses the /sit command, doing so will cause the lasers to not register that the player is there and the lasers will deal no damage. By no damage I mean the game does not even show that the lasers hit the player, it will not show damage, it will not say MISS or DODGE, it will just ignore the player.
I initially discovered this when my team had an obvious wipe incoming so I sat down in an attempt to die asap. To my surprise a few lasers passed right through me, without dealing any damage. I then stood up walked into the path of another laser, and sat back down. No damage taken. After the wipe we got Ultima Weapon down to the same point and I again tested this (no wipe was incoming, but for the purpose of repeating the bug I tested it). When the bits came out I immediately sat down, three of them aimed at me, they fire and I take no damage.

Update:
Different instanced arena, glitch didn't happen anymore. Took full damage for each laser. Must have been an connection issue or something.
