Gamepad Calibration not working for DS4/PS4 Controllers

I am unable to calibrate the controller in the game client. I go to calibrate gamepad, and while the window is open before I begin it shows all buttons working (with the blue arrows, etc.). However, when I begin calibration, it no longer accepts input from the device. I unchecked Enable POV and it still does not work.

This is the same problem this person had:

So this issue is -NOT- resolved. Many of the buttons are mixed up on the controller and there is no way to reassign them as the calibration utility does not work with it.

Hello Tannlore, This is not an issue with the game per-se, just that even with the DS4/PS4 controller being "plug and play", the PC still needs a few drivers downloaded. I use a DS4/PS4 Controller on my PC.

The controller works on my pc perfectly, I use it for emulators and FF14 as well (Well what I can). But the issue is that the calibration option for 14 does not want to recognize the controller so I am unable to assign the correct buttons to their placement in the client.

eg: it thinks Triangle is circle, and circle X, and X Triangle, start/select are the left/right D pads when pressed while options/share are the left/right D pads when pressed. If the 14 calibration worked, this would be solved. But sadly, as soon as you tell it to calibrate... no go.

I also installed DS4 tools to activate the LED control and the touch pad, as well as the rumble (mostly). These don't matter to me much, but the client allowing calibration does.

Ah understood. It's weird though, with the DS4 tool I have my controller works normally (normally a.k.a. emulating a 360 controller). I still have to find how to make the LEDs and touchpad work haha. Good to know the tools are somewhere.

haha, we have the reverse problem then! Hmmm I'll see if I can't fiddle with DS4 more to try and get the buttons mapped better since the client isn't giving me an option. So.. hard to play with the controller when the buttons are all... wonky.
