The time it takes for a window to pop after a button is clicked (if it popes at all) is terrifyingly too long and for me this gets most annoying when trying to level crafting.

The discussion around UI latency must have been on the table many times now but I still think this is something that should be brought to light once more.

If SE knows that the UI is a problem then why do they waste time on other stuff? If the UI doesn't work, nothing works. If the UI doesn't work the game is broken. Why focus on creating more stuff when we as users won't be able to properly interact with the new creation because the UI is terribly slow.

In my opinion FFXIV should be a sequel to FFXI but not a copy, it should be its own game. FFXIV should strive to be as good and even better than FFXI. FFXIV should NOT become a new WoW, WAR or RIFT. FFXIV should be unique and innovative.

FFXIV should be awesome but before that can happen SE needs to make the UI awesome.

I've made a simple script to test when latency starts to be noticeable an when it starts to get annoying. In my opinion 200ms is OK but around 300ms is too much.
Try it out yourself here: http://linuspersson.net/sandbox/latency-test/ and tell me what you think. Maybe this will get SE something to strive for.

Thank you for listening!
