How is Summoner parsing?

I have just reactived my account. I just wonder if summoner is doing ok as PVE dps or if is better to lvl up anoter dps class.

I have been looking for this info in the forum but i haven´t found concrete information about this concern.

SMNs are still fine. Most classes are actually fine at the moment with MNK, perhaps, pulling ahead in certain fights.

By pulling ahead you mean to say 20-30% ahead on dps depending on the fight as they were overbuffed.

If the fight allows for extended uptime on the boss, Monks do awesome ... Now throw that OP MNK into a fight that has you constantly move away and forcing you to start the whole rotation from scratch.
Or a fight that requires AoE (LOL)
Or a fight that requires heavy burst.

According to a friend parsing garuda extreme the other day I did the most damage overall combining mine and Garuda-egi's damage. But parsers still just guess and do weird stuff to figure what our damage might be

People cried foul when they nerfed smn by removing thunder,but ya sure dont hear them saying a peep about their ninja buff.Summons affected by spellspeed now.Summon your garuda and go in some dummies.Pets got a pretty decent dps increase.i got aroundish 500 ss with my smn so im enjoing this alot

Finally off my 2-week forum ban(thanks Kalandros), but I wanted to comment on this because it's been said a few times.

I don't know who started it, but this is false.

Spell Speed always worked with Garuda, it's just that pet tooltips were not set up in a way that allowed us to visually see that.

If its false i find it odd that the many summoners i spoken too and my tests show more pet dps since after 2.1.the attacks go faster

Summonors do so much damage it's crazy, at first looking at parses from bosses I thought they were mediocre then realized I wasn't even adding the pet! The only issues they might have is breaking people out of Gaols/killing adds/nails quickly, I am not sure what the go to for that situation is and seems to be their weak point.
