How long before you met your first nasty user?

I'm yet to meet a trully rude/nasty player.
However, I was running lvl 50 story mode instances for the first time two days ago and I got into a party that did not wait fo me to finish watching cutscenes, I was doing my best to read through the texts as quickly as possible, but still I haven't managed to participate in two boss fights, so in the end I ended up skipping a few cutscenes, never got to fight all bosses and I haven't even seen the last boss fight They pretty much spoiled the end of the story for me.

I met my first dick when I invited a friend of mine to do a Darkhold run with me back when I was a fresh 50. My friend was a BRD and liked to keep flaming arrow up, but since we had a BLM in the party the PLD apparently wanted everything slept. The conversation started with "You're a special kind of retard, huh?" and only got nastier from there.


Another good one was when I took our LS DRG to AK for the first time after she unlocked it. It was the healer this time. I gave her a walkthrough when we got to Demon Wall but figured it'd take a wipe or two to get the pattern down. The party knew she was new and nobody had raised issue with it. After the second wipe the healer ditches after calling me stupid and her undergeared. I might add that I was a relic SMN and she and I were both 50/50 Myth and WP gear. She had Ifrit's at the time.

Most recent one was a HaukkeHM run with an obnoxious BRD who was trying to get kicked so he wouldn't get the penalty. The tank was a really nice dude, but he was rocking full AF with the DL Macaroniwheatie sword. I was playing healer as a relic SCH in full DL. First words out of this guys mouth at the start of the run were "I f*king hate scholars." Which he repeated several times even as we cleared the bosses. The tank was undergeared, but damned good at his job. Finally when we got to Hellicarnassus after I saved us from a major link he goes "LOL. Still f*king hate SCH. F*k you." I was in the middle of telling him that I wasn't going to vote kick him no matter what and that he could eat his 30 minutes like a good little boy. But the other two guys votekicked him for me. XD

About a week ago, guy wanted to speed run WP and I couldn't keep up so I asked him to not pull more than he could handle. Which in turn he took in a total negative fashion and berating me when he could. Topping the run off with "You suck as a WHM." ...le sigh...

Plentiful in hm trials. As a heal, ran into many dps that just can't dodge for crap. One began ranting and said "you need to heal better" yet he was taking plumes to the face and others that have taken eruptions in the nads. I've just meet more dbag dps than anything.

My first CM run. The tank afk'd first then saw we were doing good without him. He decided to start purposely wiping us after that. Met the same player in ifrit on DF and he did the same thing. I wonder why most rude players I've met are lalafels?

lol when stuff like pet auto attack causes a wipe, i laugh my ass off and shrug it off. Its not like you lose food or anything anymore. Reminds me of the group that entered titan standing under his feet.

lol... I would be pissed if someone tried to blame me for their own problems as well. Your choice of personal pronoun is very important.

Nasty users exist for the most part when you're new to content and learning. That's why I generally do content with fc/ls and get used to it before I pug so I know my stuff. It makes it so that there's hardly any rage at all and if there was, you'll know how to deal with it.

First guildhest I did the Thaumaturge raged at me for not facing the mandies and goobue away. Then it was all those Castrum speed runs where they expected the tank to know everything when the game was still pretty new.

Actually, I only met my first rude player last week, and I've been playing since Beta 3 of 2.0. He used a gay derogatory slur in the middle of a Praetorium group. I called him out on it, and he started giving me crap about how the reason folks don't like gays is because we're "oversensitive pussies" or somesuch, then continued to harass me specifically. Thankfully, this was while the changes of 2.1 were in effect and the group voted him out of the dungeon for harassment.

Though since then (though probably not related), I've been noticing a lot of drama and blame-gaming in Crystal Tower. "Oh, Alliance B stepped off their node for 1.3 seconds. They must be a completely worthless party and we're going to have to drag them." Seriously, I signed up for CT to have fun and get gear, not to listen to a bunch of people playing cheerleader politics over which group is the worst group.

He says "I was told this was a 100% kill party, don't ever invite me to this again". Follow by other things like "you guys are a joke", blah blah blah. Then he just bails. Literally 2 min into the duty after a simple mistake. I was speechless.

I wouldn't invite him again either, but for reasons other than the ones he gave.
