    I've also had this issue. Verizon Fios. I can't say that is my internet or SE, but it has only been an issue since 2.1 dropped. Not an issue with any other game I play, so I am only going to gripe on the SE FF14 forums. I don't really care if it is a SE problem. Since this problem only affects my FF14 game play, that is what I want fixed. Why pay for FF14 if it isn't working? Level 3, Verizon, my router... these are all meaningless to me as a paying subscriber. Why should I play a SE game and pay a sub fee if this is the only game not working?

    My subscription runs out in march. Tic toc, tic toc...

    Thing is, if they can't do anything, they can't do anything. They can call up the providers with the bad routers, but unless that provider does something, it's moot. SE can't control that Level3 routes you through that particular router either. Verizon "might" be able to? But they likely wouldn't, and likely out of their control as well.

    Then what did they do wrong? What do they need to change? 2.1 brought the change from 0.3 second positional polling to 0.1 seconds. That means more data going through those routers. Things like this will expose issues in those routers that weren't noticed before. If this is why, then SE tried to help the players, and then they get this in return, lovely isn't it?

    Thanks in large part to Verizon! (aka FiOS)

    The Internet as we know it died Tuesday (1/14) and nobody even noticed. Thanks to the U.S. Court of Appeals decision yesterday, Internet Service Providers can now decide which websites work faster, which ones to charge you for and even which ones to block you from.

    baseless observations, What you listed is just the symptoms of an issue. they serve only to show an issue is present. your conclusion is flawed. If we followed this same logic, the world due to our observation is flat, and the sun clearly circles it as it rises and sets around the earth. that's just how limited a persons "Observations" are. So it cant "Clearly" be an SE issue as we don't even "clearly" know exactly what is causing the "Issue"

    Yeah, but this issue has been happening since 2.1 came out in December. I haven't noticed things get any worse (or better) since that whole thing went down last week.

    But yeah, I'm not trying to say it's an issue with FiOS only. It's just that I've seen several FiOS customers complain about it before I made this thread. I'm noticing it seems to be an issue with people that have other providers as well.

    No, I listed conditions under which the symptoms occur. Clearly, something was changed in patch 2.1 that made the symptoms occur.
