    WRAR. Some questions.

    I had been working on warrior before the patch for a while. But them stupid fates and a lot of work made sure I was only able to cap my bard every week and never spend much time on them. Now with the bonus exp from dungeons she goes pretty fast. I love gearing my characters and running coil and seeing tank loot go past me makes me cringe.
    With that I have some questions for when she reaches 50. Gear and skill related.
    1. Flash vs. overpower.
    What's the big difference? Besides that flash hits around you for MP and Overpower in front of you for TP. I only use it because it doesn't cost me TP but perhaps I miss something here.
    2. Flash is a an X class skill. I also have Internal Release, Featherfoot, Convalescence and I will get provoke (once I will level gladiator.. ungh T_T). Should I stick with this?
    3. I got the basic combo down pretty much. And there are enough posts about it. But when should I use my buffs (I have an attack macro for all chars and a def one). Can I just use them in whatever order on normal bosses. Should I specifically save em (like Thrill of battle before big hit) or should I just rotate trough em
    4. Is it worth it to macro some skills/buffs so healers or other classes can reply to that? (Lets say /p Thrill of Battle used, stoneskin effect up? <<se.6>>)

    1. In general overpower is better threat for War, Paladins have a passive increase to flash's enimity. So keep that in mind when a paladin tells you how awesome flash is, its not as good for us.

    2. Cross Class skills should really be chosen based on the fight, but in general having flash available is not a bad idea.

    3. As for cool downs, I use 60sec cooldowns much more freely. The longer cooldowns should def be saved for when you need them. I am against macro'ing Cds, just because they provide very specific bonus's that should be used based on what kind of incoming damage is about to occur. Like popping foresight before a magic attack is going to be a waste, ect.

    4. Gear It all sort of rotates around ACC cap for you at this point. You want enough ACC for the content 472ish up to turn 4, and 480 twintana (some say). Some where in that range and you are good. So you maintain that, and try to get as much Vit, Str, Parry as you can thats about it.

    Pretty sure this is just not true. Flash is affected by +damage mods (maim), attack power (berserk), determination, and weapon damage. Warrior Flash should actually be more potent than paladin flash because Fight or Flight has no effect on it. The only thing paladin gets is the blind (which doesn't cause enmity) and a bigger MP pool.

    That said, with the 2.1 changes, Overpower is better enmity than Flash iirc.

    Only one i can really answer is 4. I use macros on my berserk, holmgang, and thrill of battle. Depending if you use macros for your basic actions or not, you can set a wait 20 on berserk macro as well to warn when you're about to get the pacification. thrill is good to let your healers know when they have the chance to pop a big stoneskin on you. and holmgang just lets people know 2 things, that the mob isn't moving for a short time, and that they can focus heals on other targets for 5 seconds before picking you back up quickly.

    AF+1 pants are better than the Allagan ones since they have DET vs Crit and that DET stacks with the Allagan Battleaxe and the Allagan boots. Allagan Battleaxe is also ilvl95 so you're going to want that over +1. WAR suffers from accuracy problems as you're gearing up so you'll want the EX axe to not fall into that hole. Don't try to aim for BiS, just try to aim to hit the acc cap and if you happen to get BiS then good for you. The Allagan Chest and the Allagan accessories are great for WAR so try to get those in the meantime if they happen to drop.

    Purchase wise, get either the ring or the chest first. You can also go for the gloves if you have the myth. From then on it's just about maintaining the acc cap for 1-4.

    Yeah, I did some checks. TBH, I think it is worth it to grab the Extreme Primal Weapon for the Acc. Once I have all allagan pieced I can still go for my Bravura zenith if I forgo a hero bracelet in favor for an allagan one. That way I still have enough acc and gain about 31 parry. But its all about flavor I reckon. Think I will just go with extreme + named setup and decide later if I want to upgrade my bravura or buy a hero wristlet. The rest is pretty self explanatory so that answers my gear question. Any other war tips are appreciated still ^_^

    Ah you are correct! I misread the passive for gladiator.

    All of this being said, flash is still useful in situations, and I like having it available.
