Lv 50 DRG Skil bar setup on PC?

So finally got my an alright laptop to run ffxiv but since I have never played on pc before the skill bar setup is different to me than from PS3 xD so I am trying to figure out the best setup on keyboard to maximize dps w/o having to spread my fingers across my entire keyboard lol not fond of using the ctrl+1 stuff but if I had to would rather use tab+1 and so on cause its closer to the numbers than ctrl. Any help would be great!

that's what I use... I have keys 1 through = all macro'd to the G keys, really helps when dealing with rotations and such.

Even have the ctrl+ keys macro'd

Get a Razer Naga. It'll make PC gaming so much easier.

Aight thnx guys and is there a certain one lol I have seen a Razer Naga with like 12 butons on side and ive seen ones with just two buttons I am guessing the 12 buttons but kind of cant afford one of those kind of mice right now xD

also kind of cant afford to buy a keyboard like that either lol gotta use what i got xD

you can look up a G13 keypad, they go for about $60 on Amazon.

I use the Corsair K95 and Logitec G3 for my gaming. Can't find mouse that's small enough for my liking so I've been sticking with my 7+ year old G3.

I use to use a G11, I would really recommend investing in a quality Keyboard/mouse for your laptop for gaming, a good one will last you several years (my G11 was 7 years old and still working great). I use to game on a laptop and the heat from it always bothered my hands.

Besides that you could try and see if you can get a simple usb numpad you can place on your left (assuming you use your right hand for your mouse) and try binding your keys to it for easier access.

Yupp im right handed but got a question how do i go about settings skills to tab+1 an so on if anyone can tell me xD wen i try tab and 1 together it either recognizes tab or 1 not both so im guessing im doing something wrong

it's usually alt+1 or ctrl+1
using tab will just cycle your mobs.

my second bar is set to ctrl+1-6 which I have macro'd to the first 6 G keys on my keyboard.

This is how I have my bars set up, it's different for everyone, just depends on preference.

cant use tab+1 because tab is not a modifier. alt, shift, and ctrl are pretty much your only bets.

i dont have a screenshot of mine but mine is simple. i only use 1-5, with modifiers too, so shift 1-5, ctrl 1-5. i dont use alt except for pet bar. i also changed my buttons to not include every movement, thus i only have strafe bound, forward and backward bound. i turn with my mouse. then i have all the buttons near WASD bound....q e r x c v t f , i dont go beyond T because my finger gets clumsy reaching past that.

lastly i have all my buffs bound to the buttons on my mouse which is a razer naga. i play a drg. my drg takes the most binds and slots. my whm and war use a lot less.

this has nothing to do with keybinds, but i also resize some bars to the biggest size, and put all my important cooldowns on that. sometimes i double up. for example i have two blood for bloods on a vertical bar that i never actually click or press, its only there to show my how much time is left in the cooldown.

I have 6 & Shift+6 in use, but I don't press them extremely often so it works. Invigorate is probably the one ability I need to look at binding. Also, I don't actually press Shift half the time since I bound it my Logitech mouse. I could never use Alt or Ctrl as modifiers personally due to being so used to those being my PTT keys for various VoIPs (Mumble on Alt, TS & Vent on Ctrl).
