    PS3 Black Screen

    Greetings!

    There is a problem with the game and first gen PS3 where the screen will go black randomly during normal play. The screen goes black, but the gameplay continues. Player names, mobs, maps, chat, all remains. But you cant see anything else.

    This problem is well documented on the forum, and elsewhere on the internet. Post after post, but nothing on how to address the problem:

    The moderator keeps closing the posts, but there is no resolution. Just because the post goes inactive, doesnt mean it has been addressed. I'm guessing, the player(s) just quit. There is no way you can do end game with these types of interruptions. As a new player, I intend to get to the end game, but will not be able to like this.

    Can we please have this looked into and elevated to someone that knows how to review and address it?

    Thank you GatorWPB for your post outlining the trouble you are having with a possible system error,

    We understand that this is a great inconvenience to passionate players that want to experience the full extent of Eorzea. However in order for this matter to be escalated to the proper channels, I will need some more information. You can go Here and you can find templates for Windows and PS3 that represent the kind of details we need. Once you can provide such information we can move forward and resolve this issue. For now I am going to move this thread into Insufficient Information. You will not be able to reply, so once you have gathered the requested data please create a new bug report thread.
