    It can be useful for pulling if you need/want to single out a target(s) near groups w/o grabbing the group (if it's possible) because of it's extended range compared to Tomahawk/Shield Lob.

    Just to add to other's comments; yes, Provoke can be very useful (even necessary) outside of 4-man content.

    Do you need provoke to hold threat... nope. It is actually one of the worst abilities for it. Do you need it to instantly put yourself in line to be a tank because you are picking up a mob or need to tank swap... yes, yes, yes. You have to have it. You can not do coil turn 2, ultima HM, or any fight in the game that requires tank swapping.

    You do NOT tank swap on Garuda Xm. Main Tank will alway tank Garuda and Ot will alway on sister, Garuda and her sister do not put any debuff on tank. (only Spiny does) However, If OT take Suprana and the DPS kill her too slow then Suprana will swap place with garuda.

    WAR don't have it the same reason only THM naturally have swift cast. Gives you a reason to cross class skills. Honestly as a tank, what else are you going to take as a CC skill?

    Get it. You'll love it. Long range pulls, tank swapping, provoke+ tomahawk for insta hate grab if someone accidentally pulls hate from you.

    I wouldn't do end game content with a WAR who does not have provoke. I suppose there are creative ways to get around it but why bother? Just get the skill. You'll love it.

    I used to think I didn't need it at all, and that my strength as a warrior was more than enough to take and trade aggro with a fellow paladin. That is, until I got to coil, in which trading aggro between each other was absolutely required. With the slew of new content we have now where two tanks are required(the extreme primals and Ultima hard mode, along with crystal tower), I cannot imagine going without it. It's just too good to pass up, even in cases where there is no second tank. It also has considerable range, so it's useful to pull stuff off of people at a much greater distance than normal for those particular emergencies.

    As said before when you get into 8 man content it's pretty important.

    Pretty much required for coil. Especially T2 unless you're Enraging it.

    If you're main tanking CT you'll want provoke when you become a "Ghost" to attack the boss otherwise he'll run around following the last tank. Pain in the arse when someone doesn't provoke it off you.

    Even if you get stunned and lose hate a quick provoke with tomahawk will get you back on track.

    Anything that requires a tank swap then you'll need Provoke. I levelled a WAR first and didn't see why I'd need it but after getting it I use it all the time!
