Can we get some actual open world content that isn't inside a Full Active Time Event?
You know, some pve competition. Though, we all know yoshis response to that "Having internet connection is stressful" "Everything in the world is stressful"

I hope they expand upon Treasure Maps, doing them lowman was surprisingly fun, just a shame the rewards are fairly lackluster.
I'd love to seem them drop an item that grants access to special Guildhests with proper rewards (similar to XIs BCNMs), which you can either sell or use, though I guess that isn't really open world... Gives more reason to do Treasure Hunts than an overpriced minion though, I guess...

Treasure Hunting is a very good start. Hope to see many more stuff like this in open world.![]()
I'm sorry, but I can criticize a game that I have played, that has not changed. Don't be mean, this is another reason I stopped playing. People are jerks on this game, one of the worst mmo communities I've been with. I asked a simple question, very nicely, and you, Mega Man U, respond like that? Get out of here. I'm Rokien, I criticized 2.0 before it was even released.
Sorry, didn't mean to sound rude. It's just that, you're demanding something that could be in the game already but you don't know because you're not playing it.I'm sorry, but I can criticize a game that I have played, that has not changed. Asking a simple question would've been "I haven't played for a while, did they add any open world content?", not "give us some actual open world content."
It's ok, but yeah, I am demanding open world content that is equal to dungeon content with rewards and goodies. You know, nms, open world dungeons, this game has turned into a hub game.Sorry, didn't mean to sound rude. Hahaha, if you really are rokien it's grand to see you don't even play the game you constantly trashed in the beta forums.
Treasure hunting - you gain a map from gathering, there are different tiers, lower tiers can be completed solo, higher tiers need at least four people. You get the map, it shows the zone with an x on it, go to an area near the x, dig, and a treasure chest appears. A few waves of mobs and then you get whatever is in the treasure chest. Low amounts of gil/tomes, minions, and craft/gather supplies.
This is the first step in the right direction of open world stuff, but it's not competition based like claims for kings were in 11.
Treasure maps are interesting. You get them from gathering. They give you an image of where the treasure should be located, you figure out where it is and scan for it. Once you find it, you beat a boss to get the treasure. All of it is open world, you can check out the A Realm Awoken trailer to get an idea of it.
If it were expanded upon, it could be epic. Imagine competition treasure maps using the Alliance system. Three different parties each have their own piece of the map, they bring it together to begin a race for the treasure. Or maybe it can be cooperative as opposed to competitive. Either way, it can be AWESOME.
