    we already have gauntlets in the game - turn 2 and turn 4 are both considered that.

    for other mechanics...

    - a fight where the only damage done is through healing magic.
    - multi-staged fights (constantly morphing battlefield, like titan, but more radical)
    - more interesting enrage mechanics
    - less scripting, more random fights.

    Haven't you heard Yoshida's idea of hard fights when during some interview animation lag and cast times were discussed? He said, and I practically quote "You can't make hard encounters if you have long cast times on boss abilities". This, coupled with the fact that SE doesn't want to acknowledge that we're already fighting cast bars and not the graphic attack telegraphs leads to one thing only - we'll have *more* split-second twitch reaction fights in the future. More of stuff like Titan Extreme, more shapes and colors for AoEs (as seen in Acheron fight), more plumes/eruptions/lasers. They might like the idea of random, poorly telegraphed, deadly AoEs, though. Because this is SE's idea of fun.

    It's probably a bit masochistic, but I'd like to see a Primal/Boss fight that required jumping to avoid an attack.

    ie. Dragon using a 360 tail sweep. Jump over it, you're fine. Get hit, you're knocked off the platform ala Titan.

    1. The number of Lv.50 classes/jobs you have says nothing about your skill.
    2. FATEs are responsible for the majority of Lv.50 "derps".
    3. Don't blame a healer if you died in red zones; that was all on you.
    4. As a healer, healing is your top priority; DPSing comes second.
    5. As a tank, your healer can only keep you alive for so long; avoid red zones, too.
    6. As a DPS, you're partially responsible for hate management, too.
    7. Don't belittle newbs for their lack of skill or knowledge; you were one of them once.

    Not going to work in FFXIV.
    Server doesn't understand what a jump is, and cannot register a player's position mid-air. See PvP "exploit" topics and recent "please refrain from using jump in PvP" statements.

    Yeah, they had this in WoW... it was ground shaking that would damage/stun if you didn't jump.

    I would like them to fix their proximity issues before anything else. There is nothing worse than being completely out of a damage area and still getting hit or killed. It's still not fixed even with the 2.1 change.

    SE is into twitch. So twitch we shall see. Sadly I older guy at 34. Lag combined with slower reaction times is making me rage at SE for Titan EX. Best is most of the time is not my fault, but someone elses for whatever reason.

    +1 for twitch, great work SE. Way to invalid most skills except for reflect actions.

    I'm tired of it too. That's their answer to everything on this game. Let's add more colored shapes on the floor players have to dodge or they die. Why on earth so many people seem to enjoy this I have no idea.
