limit break building nerf

In all actuality you should be killing the heart without even LB1 lol.

This has nothing to do with time, everybody plays at their own pace. However a good party should be able to get it down without LB1 in full Darklight gear. If you are prepared for this fight, and you are struggling, it is not because of LB. If your DPS is so low your healers will suffer at the end of the fight as well.

Tell your melee DPSs to just auto attack until the heart phase with buffs and an occasional DoT. That's what we did on our last run and we had a full 2 bars at the start of the heart phase with two MNKs and a DRG.

On an unrelated note, I was running Praetorium last night with a guy taking a while to watch the cutscenes. Anyway, while we were waiting for him we were sitting in the room where you fight Nero. I heard the chime of a LB bar filling up even though we weren't in combat, and I noticed that the LB bar was filling itself up rather slowly over time. Don't know if this happens in other areas or not or if this was a bug specific to this encounter.

Had an iffrit the other day that was painful, so many double classes we couldn't get the limit break up in time for the nails. :P Any advice about how to build it up post nerf was met with "you suck noobs". :P

For the ifrit question, eat eruptions. Seriously that's not a joke. During the fight if you have 100% hp eat a plume/eruption from time to time. Before you get to the nails hold dps to auto attacks. Should be able to do it with lb2 or do it longer if you need lb3

For titan... I gave up. ilvl 65 smn and spent every day since 2.1 trying to down him in a DF group for my relic quest. Only one group even took out the heart. Just quit the relic quest today and gave up. Would rather level alts

you dont need a limit break to kill the heart in titan or the nails in ifrit. people just like ez mode. if you cant coordinate your group to focus fire on nails going clockwise or you cant get your group to save its offensive CD's to burn the heart down, then an LB probably isnt going to help much either

Thats because you're technically designated as "in-combat" for most of that dungeon. Limit will build on its own as long as you are desginated as "in-combat"; for instance you can observe the same phenomenon in Coil Turn 2.

Yea I thought it was kind of funny, SE announces penalties for stacking multiple classes, yet I don't remember seeing so many stacked classes from DF. Probably just because they mentioned it so I started noticing, but not even the DF will get it right, so why continue with the penalty?

As to LB building, from my understanding there are a lot contributing factors, but some contribute more than others. For instance, the auto-attack phase is building LB from Tank taking damage. Supposedly other high contributing factors are clutch heals (saving from 10-20% health), critical attacks from DPS classes, and interrupting special attacks (ones that can be, anyways. could also explain why LB2 is harder for Ifrit nails since not every erruption is getting stunned anymore).

people who say you should be able to kill titan heart with lb1, please try and do that with an avg item level of 57, which a lot of people have when they try it in DF. like i said i wish they had a higher ilvl requirement, but right now its way to low to do with without lb1/lb2.

also i know its possible to build lb from auto attacking, but now that it takes 2-3x longer every time just for your DF group to wipe its a touch more frustrating. it just seems like a pointless nerf. its so hard not to stack classes with the amount classes to choose from right now. you dont have 1 of each, why do you get penalized so harshly in a duty finder.

Get people with better gear, it takes no time at all to get darklight now and it's a whole load easier than sitting there auto-attacking for a lb gauge.
