    Request for level 50+ content

I certainly know that some things I would like are far beyond request, which is extremely sad for a 4-month-old MMO, but I digress. Specifically what I am sad to almost literally never be able to experience is a full run of dungeons with people who have never done them before, same as me. I don't want to enter a dungeon to have one or more people tell me exactly the mechanics of each boss and what to do. This game is easy enough, I don't need you telling me how to dodge red circles or whatever else comes next. Alas, there are so few people at each level of dungeon (hence the Duty Roulette), this is a fool's dream.

What I can request and would like to see implemented I will: please implement an Item Level cap for content Level 50 and above.

Specifically anything from Dungeons and Story Dungeons, to Primals (Hard and Extreme) and End-Game Raids, I would like to see have a distinct Item Level cap. I have played this game for a very long time. The character shown in my profile is not my first character, but is the character I have used for the entirety of ARR. As you can see I am still only level 48 and have been for months. I dread doing the final story dungeons at 50. I dread entering the first Level 50 dungeons.

Obviously the first reason is my first paragraph: these dungeons won't be a new and exciting experience for me to learn game mechanics first hand. They'll be areas where I am told what to do as a tank and expected to perform those tasks. These dungeons have been around far too long for me to enter blind and find accepting people with whom to run. The second reason is more(is it?) obvious, though: I do not want to be a fresh level 50 tank with under-item-level gear tanking low-level monsters against item-level-up-to-90 DPS and Healers throughout all my runs. If I run through Duty Finder I'm sure to be paired with Roulette-runners in Mythic armor, Tower loot, and Coil spoils. I don't want to be severely outclassed or rush through these areas when I am not equipped to do so.

The third reason is the most obvious of all, but hardly my intent. Kill this idea of buying runs or getting carried through content.

If implementing a hard Item Level cap is not possible, at least think of making one optional, perhaps by making Maximum Item Level a Party Finder term. At minimum, please add a "Seeking newer players only" check box rather than "Newer players welcome" in the Party Finder comments.

Edit: If not understood, I mean "cap" like "Level Sync" applied in pre-50 dungeons.

How should an item level cap protect you against people who know each mechanic in the dungeon and tell you what you should do?

Pretty sure there are 2 solutions to your problem

    1) Find a group of like minded people to run with who want to figure it out.

    2) Get to the pinnacle of endgame and run everything first when a patch drops.

Considering you've been 48 for a long time number 1 seems like your style.

I find your post very odd. You ask for a level cap on dungeons you haven't reached (in ARR). My actual experience is the complete opposite. I usually get people who have never done the dungeon and I take time to explain to them. Mind you they still die on demon wall. As a tank I'm never told what to do, I have on occasion even asked for tips if I'm new to the encounter. A guide can only tell you so much. It's pretty much whining about something you haven't experienced yet yourself so how do you know it's broken?

On a personnal experience, as a WAR, you're expecting far too much of the dungeons. Story dungeons are just here to show beautiful graphics, really. And for the myth farm dungeons, be happy, whatever people can try to each you, you'll probably fail 2-3 times before mastering the mechanics. One more time if effectively everyone is new and thus noone can teach anything.

Even knowing perfectly how to do the coil 2 weeks in avance, I still wiped like 10 times for T1&T2, and T4 is still as hellish as it was the first time I tried. Knowing isn't what determines how you succeed. Practising is

I understand your fear, I had it too. But actually, I was proven wrong, to my delight.
I finally reached the Pretor (final dungeon). My virgin run.
During a cut scene, where I was enjoying some story, I got left behind. I cam out of the CS to be alone; no blue dots in sight. I paniced. But, literally, within 5 seconds chat appeared
    PlayerA: Missing one?
Me: Yes, sorry, first time. I'm lost now, cant see you
    Player?: np. where are you?
I explain, they explain, sprint...reach them. They waited.
OK, so maybe only 2 or 3 cared (luckily one was main tank), and the rest had to bide time with me....but I never got abuse and actually it reminded me that there are more people out there willing to help than those who don't.

I examined, and there were plenty obviously just running for DR or Tomes....there was me, a few bits of DL and some crappy old wand.... But they were cool, and I had an awesome time
