[Dev response requested] Unplayable lag since the hotfixes

I saw on reddit that this is a thing. I thought I had a night of bad traffic or something.

I have Verizon FIOS and 60 download 15 upload and have never lagged in this game. I'm fine on any sort of test. I can't imagine that this is on my side of things. Freezing for 10 seconds at a time in the middle of Ifrit EX and Twintania is not fair to the rest of my group.

Is this being addressed? Is this known by the devs?

Had the same thing happen to me tonight when I was running Titan. Would love to get this addressed. I also have Verizon Fios.

Not an internet tech by any stretch of the imagination, but every time I get lag like that, I just reboot my modem and router then the problem goes away. Just something to try, if you haven't already.

Pointing out the obvious is always a good way to up the post count.

You both have the same problem on the same ISP. Maybe you should call up your ISP and find out whats going on?

Two others in my FC with Verizon FIOS are also having these freezes. It does seem ISP-based, but Verizon says that everything is fine on their end. I just reset my router twice. Nothing has changed. People keep stopping and teleporting. I imagine since SE added more servers and junk in the hotfix, maybe they did something that doesn't work with FiOS.

When are people going to realize that putting "requesting dev" anything in the title automatically flags it to not be read by devs?

I have time Warner and I too have had some bad lag. I was running wp tonight and every single time I got targeted by the 2nd boss I died. At a full sprint with both my wards up, I'm. A blm full dl and CT pants. Never died before three times in a row like that even the people I party with was like wtf

Edit: sorry! Apparently I've also had super unplayable lags!! my bad forgive me ffxiv forum peeps.

I've not had unplayable lag issues as yet but I have had an instance in CT where the game would "freeze" where it looked like I was about to dc but my send would be at about 15 while my receive was at about 6000+ then after 3 or 4 min it would play out the whole fight in fast forward and I'd be able to play again without issue until the next boss fight when it would happen again. Had no issues in other dungeons, and there were no other drains on the home network other than ffxiv.

Further more I've notice since the update there is a delay when opening and deleting mog mail. Before the patch I'd be able to open a mail take the items and then delete said mail in a series of quick one after the other actions. Now 100% of the time it gives me a still retrieving mail error when I try to delete the letter after taking the items. And I now have to count to four to be able to delete the mail successfully.

There has been noticble response delays in certain tasks since the data centre implementation.
