Assuming you're talking to me - my plan doesn't involve you having to do it yourself.

Attacking an enemy automatically puts you in active as it is.

If you go passive automatically after a bind on your current target, you don't need to do that part either. Presumably if you're binding a target other than your current auto-attack, you shouldn't go passive automatically.

Considering that the movement lock is going away for the switch to active/passive, it shouldn't hinder your gameplay at all (*IF* it is done correctly).

So it's like this, in your example:

Walk up, multishotx2 + raging strike volley, bind. Automatically go passive. Run away, mutlishotx2 (automatically go active) + ferocity +hawk's eye volley, bind, automatically go passive, rinse and repeat.

I'm still not seeing how that would be great, merely switching between passive/active mode freezes you on the spot for a few seconds while you pull out your weapon or put it away. And what if bind doesn't stick? You're stood there like a lemon again trying to get your weapon out to land a close shot or shadowbind while continually being forced into passive/active modes.

    Easier just to hit 1.

Apparently I left this discussion a bit too early last night.

I think the thing you're missing is that the transition time you mention is going away. It's shown in the video.
