The fact that you're emulating charlie sheen doesn't really help anyone to take you seriously. No matter how much truth is in your posts.

This isn't as simple of a change as it may appear.
You can't just slap in Auto Attack and rip out the Stamina Gauge without restructuring how stats work, how enemies behave, the effectiveness of certain attacks, and pretty much everything that has to do with the battle system. Once that's done, they can move on to adding content that will complement the system. There's a ton of math and planning involved and I'd rather they not rush it.

Posted this in another thread several days ago, it applies to the new letter:
And again; cloak-and-shadow letter, no real progress report, subpar video of Auto-Attack (y'know what Diablo III has for a video of it's combat system? A fucking boss fight... Jesus.); lack of real communication with the playerbase; delayed patch, etc.The problem is, the patch probably, as per SE's history, is not on schedule.
I (and many others) do not want some terribly worded/translated PR letter from some development team leader who in all likeliness, doesn't even write said letters.
What I (and others) want to see, is this example:
Patch 1.18 Progress Check List:
- Dungeon Implementation Complete
- Class Re-Balancing Complete
- Terrain Clipping Incomplete- further adjustments required
- Hardware Taxation Issue Incomplete- further investigation is required
I don't give a flying hell when the patches come, but to actually see a visible progress report instead of some inane, cloak-and-shadow letter, would be far more beneficial to the community than the crap we've been getting. We were promised updates, we are getting PR checks and formatted copy+paste replies. This is not helping their situation.
The one, and only thing that has been saving this game: "Final Fantasy"
Not innovative game design. Not good graphics. Not great controls. Not interesting content. Nothing, but the name on the title screen. And believe me, the majority are getting sick of that, too.
Thank you for your opinion.Posted this in another thread several days ago, it applies to the new letter:

Um, guys? The patch isn't delayed. Am I the only one that payed attention to the part of the 9th letter that said patch 1.18 would be released in mid-June AT THE EARLIEST? According to that, nothing is late, it's not even the 15th yet.
Here it is for everyone who missed it:
1.18 is going to be relatively bigger than previous patches. This means that balancing is going to take more time than usual, and so we’re anticipating a somewhat longer period between patches. Even if we break off some of the content and release it ahead of time in a 1.17b patch (which me might!), 1.18 will still go live sometime in mid-June at the earliest. Sorry for that.
Reading comprehension +3! Good Job Molly, your leagues ahead of most people visiting these forums.

Checked the video... i see some interesting things in it but i see one very bad one... auto attack... (now that i know how does it looks like) i can tell that i don't like it. It might ruin my immersion into the battle (i might simple start falling asslep if the battle will go like on the movie...) but I'll wait till I'll get my hands on it in game. Than i will tell finally
- Do i like it
or
- I hate it
For now i can say that i don't like what I see.
PS: On the other hands do i see some new skills xD? and new graphics, those look fu*** amazing :3 Also anyone noticed some kind of a new music ? I wonder what's that.
PS2: If i was to judge and chose one, which is better i would say
FAIL: New auto attack battle
FTW!: Old, current battle system \(^.^)/

Btw. I forgot to add to my previous post that with the new battle presented on the video, with the auto attack it feels like (i get the felling if i try to bet the character) that you aren't fighting... you try to get the grasp of "you fighting" by selecting a commend but over that... the character Fights for you if you do nothing so you momentally lost the felling of you being that character and fighting... Frankly i hate even thinking like that...
Fells more like I'm watching someones else fighting and giving him advices to what he should use in this moment...

How is mashing your 1-9 keys like playing FFIV? (as a matter of fact, 4 being my utmost favorite FF game I am a little upset that this is your comparison of choice when its nothing like XIV's system)Originally Posted by Feldt
Aren't this kind of system the same as FFXIV? But instead of giving commands to 4 characters you give to 1. This could be considered as button spaming as well, Yet no one complained - people liked it.
I liked and love the current battle system because it gives me that feeling you have from that old final fantasy games, like the one presented on movie, and many other ones (from 4 to 7)
First, how can you compare a TURN BASED RPG to a REAL TIME RPG (meaning that monster in IV isn't going to attack until all your characters have had a chance to input a command versus that monster in XIV is going to rape you regardless if you tell your character to attack or not)
You're trying to make button mashing (XIV's current system) into strategic button selecting (Turn based systems [FFIV in this case]) The two are nothing a like. Hell, that is like saying talking on a forum is just like playing XIV (because I'm mashing keys/buttons to do something, in fact I would take that over FFIV, because if you are decent typist you should be typing words are a similar frequency as you would mashing buttons in XIV's current battle system, lol)
