He said two weeks past mid/late june..so hopefully it's early july and will only be a couple more weeks. They had better seriously deliver some crazy goodness to us, but that video helps keep me cheery

Insulting people in the counter argument isn't going to change their minds. It will make them stick harder to their opinion regardless of whether or not it's right, and think less of your opinion simply because you insulted them. In essence, if you want to try and change someone's mind, come up with a well thought-out response and don't be a dick.

No news on jobs? =(
A part of me knew that they were going to delay the patch, but it's ok as long 1.18 is huge(and I do mean huge like 1GB) and contains a lot of content/changes(hopefully materia system/job system). As for the video, I mean it looks like auto-attack, just slightly faster which I like. Also it looks like there are new animations which is awesome and possibly new field music? Anyway I want them to take their time, get things perfect. I know there other MMOs coming out, but I rather them not rush things like they did with the retail release. I want 1.18 to be a new beginning for FFXIV.

Agreed. I'll take the extra two weeks to let them test and tweak rather than get an incomplete patch. Also, check out the new icons for the abilities and the timers on them! It's all lookin' nice. Though I'm curious when they'll be implementing the changes that let us see ALL of our action bars at once, but I believe in the video your original action bar was already up before switching modes, so I think they added that.A part of me knew that they were going to delay the patch, but it's ok as long 1.18 is huge(and I do mean huge like 1GB) and contains a lot of content/changes(hopefully materia system/job system). They said they have just hammered out the conceptualization for materia system and determined its feasible. I wouldnt count on that for months yet sad to say. Not trying to shit in your cheerios, I just dont want others to see that and hype it up. Gotta stay realistic. They promised us dungeons and are now saying they finished 1? and are working on the second. Kinda weak sauce if you ask me but I will try to stay optimistic.
The term "tremendous patch" should not be used lightly, which i am hoping it wasnt. I am just affraid that the majority of the data taken up in the next patch will be for the addition of auto-attack. Changes to core game mechanics take up a buttload of memory, so we could see just that and dungeons and nothing else. I see a lot of hype forming around this patch, and them delaying it does NOT help. Not saying they can help it, I just forsee the potential for a lot of dissapointed peeps.
Combat video shows that they are going in the right direction (to me anyway), and thats really good. I just don't expect free lottery tickets and booze in this patch the way others seem to. (the materia system dude? really?)
Now back to everyones favorite activity......WAITING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I assume you're talking to me, but I don't care what you think. I didn't say they're going to have the materia system, but I was hoping they would have it in 1.18, if they don't then I DON'T CARE. I'm not going to control what I type just because a few people may get hyped over my words, I can't control people. They said they have just hammered out the conceptualization for materia system and determined its feasible. I hope they're new WS, but they may just be advertisement for the coming 1.19 patch which he said would have attack variation. All in all I'd say this is a positive change. He looked much more lax and was able to handle all his abilities just fine. This will open up chatting during gameplay for better communication.
