Invisible botanist or lag/graphical bug?

I've been gathering a lot of wood lately for leveling Carpenter, and while I go around chopping, I sometimes (often) see the visual effect, as well as hear the sound effect of gathering on trees, without anyone being near the tree.

That isn't something I noticed happening while leveling Botanist, so it hasn't happened to me until recently. Anyone else witnessing these?

More than likely its the RMT teleporting hack bots. They currently have a way of teleporting under the world and still reaching the trees and mining points.

File a ticket reporting cheat, have a GM check that area.

I've seen signs of both teleporting bots .. and I've actually watched one miner standing in one spot, hacking away at the four mining nodes in the area, which is a completely different hack : rather than teleporting around, it was apparently just making stuff targetable and usable from any distance. I remember that one class in particular in Everquest was using such a hack to defeat enemies and loot their corpses from the zone in, in that game, years ago.

There's always a couple of bots at each set of nodes I've seen on Moogle. If it's a good set for shards/crystals then there'll generally be three or four.

I just spotted one in the act of doing this and reported him but not getting a response from a GM yet. This alleged bot is in the 21X27Y area of the East Shroud using the level 30 rocky outcrops to exploit wind shards.

Not a bug! Seen the same thing on my server Shiva.

They managed to stay invisible while mining, I guess this is the new gen bot. Mine was clearly hiding inside of the rocks, near Blackbrush Station. Chunks of rock flying everywhere, and it was not me. And how the peep! are we supposed to report them, when we can't see them no more? :/

By pure luck, and staying aware for 30 min. I was actually able to get the name of the bot and reported it. This is becoming a very serious case of bad scripting from SE. Up so far I managed to report 4 or 5 of them, but I never gotten any reaction from a GM. A "thank you" would be nice?

SE, when will you respond to this issue and fix it... :/

I've seen speed-farming along with teleport hack and invisible on those RMT. I was crafting near a tree that I got some mats from and next thing I know, heard the chopping sound came on bam bam bam bam in succession and they were gone.

The game is just overrun by harvest and craft bots... I don't even bother caring anymore... I mean if I go harvest, I just see people porting onto nodes, harvesting... then I see them magically pop onto another node.

People are afk botting crafting in town all over the place. I just ignore it now. I would care, but since SE doesn't, why should I?

I just play my game and ignore the rampant RMT business all around. It happened in FFXI, now it is here.

That is in addition to the AFK instance people.... apparent tank bots... and general jerks.... at least when housing is in, a lot of the craft bots will move into houses. Hopefully, they will update the group finder to kick afk people or bots.
