Map is displaying nothing on it its a blank map.

My map is not working as intended, when i bring up the map it shows nothing, just the area with no shops or my cursor/etc, its just a blank map

the compass works but the map...

I reported the bug in-game last night but got no answer so i decided to post it here. Im hoping its not a bug and just something in the settings.
I stopped playing ffxiv for a few months but still payed for it(didn't have the time to play)
I come back and get an update and i have this problem.
Going to do a clean install to see if a bug happened during update.
well after a reinstall the problem wasn't a bug, it was the map icon eyeball on the side of the map.....
