True or not? Does abandoning beastman dailies refund your allowance?

I saw a shout saying that abandoning a beastman daily quest refunds the allowance, but I haven't seen anyone confirm or deny it yet. Does anyone know if it's true or not?
I mean no disrespect to the person who said it, but with how many trolls, liars, misguided, and misinformed players there are out there, a little reassurance would be nice.

Hoping to get a conclusive answer on this tonight since one of the dropoff points for "Perilous Pumpkins" is bugged for my server.

Yes it 'refunds' your allowance but you're only able to take the quest you abandoned again.

Thanks. Good enough! Finally got the quest done by abandoning it and retaking it until it allowed me to deliver to Moonspore Grove instead of Goldleaf Dais.

I wonder then. If you keep a quest until the next day, then are you only given five new allowances? Or are you still given six, but then canceling the one you held gets wasted since a refund would've put you over cap?
If it's the latter, then that could be helpful for people who get "Magitek Menace". Instead of risking getting the quest every day, they could just get it once and hold onto it until they're about to rank up.
