As we're really proud to manage to get a Mansion and starting to furniture and design our little place we call home, we've come onto quite a few issues and wanting to get some features added and maybe even removed from the entire housing system.
Even though Square Enix did a blood well job on the entirety of the Housing, there's still major room for improvements and finetuning!

I hope SE will read this and take these ideas and requests into consideration

Agreed! I normally don't design my places with a toilet in mind, but after doing some updating using more modern appliances like the wash basins and Carbuncle bathtub, I found the lack of a toilet disturbing.

1: Let us make the pillars optional.
2: Let us choose which pillars we want.
3: Allow pillar options that match each style of popular partitions.
4: Add door ways that match each partition.
5: I don't mind keeping the stairs, ceiling beams and stair rails the same but please allow us to change the textures and colors to match our partitions.

- Larger playlists for orchestrions/an option to randomly select one from your/a visitor's collection when entering

- Different styles/layouts for the interior, purchasable using different permits when you build on your plot of land, e.g. an option with an attic instead of a basement for a cottage, a medium option with a more open layout like a mansion, and a mansion layout with different stair/room placements, possibly with attic rooms instead of a basement as well. You could even go further and have layouts that are more styled towards a specific use case like a shop or a cafe, and even have interiors that come with balconies, gardens, or greenhouse inspired looks. Make it so that the house can feel more tailored to a specific use without giving up furniture slots or having to create illusionary features with furniture.

- More partitions to match the styles we already have available, e.g. archway partitions or open partitions in the style of the current area-themed walls so we don't have to use only that one marble set for everything. They do seem to be working on this slowly but I would still appreciate additions to the current area sets we have as they fit the best but aren't very versatile due to only having a normal wall and a door wall

- Window customisation for interiors

- Ability to place wall-mounted windows on partitions (already possible with some windows, so may as well just make all of them able to do this)

- Different style fish tanks, e.g. tube shaped or curved

- Ceiling mounted objects (total game changer when they added it to Animal Crossing)

I'd really like to see more customization options for the lighting, especially with regards to directional lighting. It would be nice if you could adjust brightness/direction/hue similar to the new Portrait system. Ideally, you should be able to do this on a floor by floor level and perhaps have the option to set up a couple of different ambient light sources per floor. The indirect lighting placeables are a nice stopgap but they take up space and have a low cap on their number.

It would also be nice if you could customize the stairs.

As for item suggestions themselves, things that I can think of offhand:

- Full sized fridge that opens
- Kitchen sink/faucet set
- Kitchen hood
- Vinyl player orchestrion
- Larger area Flooring Mat/Lofts
- Blank Partition Door (i.e. one that lets you change the wallpaper around the door frame)

- Bed Log-off option
- Model Phantom Train set
- More collectable plushies/statues in general
