Screenshots as paintings ( With an actual bypass to abuse )
Wouldn't it be the coolest thing ever to have screenshots and memories from your time together framed on the walls in your FC house..
I know, there would be ways to abuse it if you simply uploaded it from your screenshots folder.
But what if we could bypass that, by making some sort of token which you would pay, say 200 k gil for, or even a mogstation fee, and with that token you had to ability the "process" a picture taken ONLY through G-pose, a function within G-Pose where you can print a picture you have taken into an item in your inventory.
It would be a little bit of work for SE, but it would be so rewarding man.
Any thoughts or improvements to this idea, please join in and discuss
Oh an also, yes people might get creative with their characters and do "inappropriate poses" etc, but they can already do that now, in the open world. This would be behind closed doors at least.
I would like see some kind of tombstone/memorial added, preferably both as an outdoor and indoor item.
The main feature should be the ability to add custom texts - the text doesnt has to show on the furniture itself, I'd like to see if work like the Message Book Stand. (Actually, basically what I want is a Message Book Stand in the shape of a tombstone)
The design could either be a "classic (western)" tombstone or maybe a statue (maybe a smaller version of the Thal statue thats already an asset in game?).
I've seen several requests from several people who lost ingame friends over the years for some way to memorialise those friends - the latest request was to make an NPC in memory of a friend who passed away. Something like this would give people the option to build some sort of memorial for their lost ones - seeing how the Message Book is already possible, this would "only" need a different model.

Hi SE,
I'm a new player to this game in 2021, it is disappointed to know housing are very limited and expensive in game, these game contents are luxury to new players and unable to experience it unless I got enough gil.

LED strip lights... please add these to make lighting accents easier and less item intensive. Also, please make them dyeable or offered in different colors. We do not have hardly any ACTUAL colored lighting that reflects off white surfaces in the color it is... like the boules. Was really looking forward to using those for colored lights but they don't give off any colored light or its a very dim rendition of the color which just looks white. Please add LED strips... horizontal and vertical that give off light in all directions (no directionality to the light)
I know that there are some changes coming to the housing system with EW, but I think we all know that isn't going to solve certain outstanding issues. I've only been playing since early this year, but as someone who has wasted weeks of my life camping out at placards to never get a plot, I've had this idea for quite some time on how SE could revamp the housing system.
Here's my idea:
A raffle-based housing system. When a plot opens up, everyone has 24 hours, from the time it went up, to enter the raffle for that specific plot (you enter at the placard in front of the plot). You can see how much time is left to enter by either checking the housing wards from the city aetherites, or by checking the placard for the specific plot.
After the 24 hours the raffle closes, a player gets selected at random, and is then given the chance to purchase the plot. That player will have 2 hours to claim and pay for the plot [the window to buy is so short because housing is in such high demand]. If you get selected, you'd be notified either by the email associated with your SE account, by in-game letter, or both. If a player fails to claim the plot within that time, another person gets randomly selected. This keeps going until the plot is sold AND built upon. Also, if someone transfers their estate to the plot, but vacates the plot within 24 hours of moving there, the raffle timer will continue as if it was never interrupted.
You could enter as many raffles as open plots available, but with some limitations:
(1) multiple characters from the same account couldn't enter a raffle for the same plot;
(2) you can only own one plot;
(3) you can't enter a raffle if you already own a home, or if any other character on your account owns a home. This means it's one plot per account (not per character, so making other alts wouldn't matter because you still wouldn't be able to enter a raffle with more than one character per account). There would be no exceptions to this, so people with grandfathered accounts wouldn't be able to bypass this.
I think a raffle is better than a lottery because no one has to worry about putting a down payment for a plot they might not ever get, and if you don't get selected by the raffle, you lose nothing, you don't have to waste time sitting in front of a plot sign for hours on end, and you don't have to worry about being refunded a deposit. Refunding gil deposits for housing entries seems like an unnecessary thing to program into the game, when it just feels like there is a way to avoid having to do that altogether. You either win, or just continue going about your day.
I'm not a programmer by any means, so there are probably some nuances that I don't understand, and some elements that I might be forgetting to consider, especially since i don't know how or whether this is even possible from a programming standpoint, but that's just my idea.
I'd love to hear some feedback on whether you guys think this is a good idea.
I imagine the point of the deposit is to make certain the player has the gil to make the purchase if they win. Otherwise players without gil and who have no intention of buying could flood the system with tickets just to make things awkward for those trying to buy. Or those without gil who do want to buy could use RMT to get their gil only once they've won. Better for players to be charged in advance. There also won't be any "oops, I accidentally spent the gil I needed to buy my house while waiting for the drawing".I think a raffle is better than a lottery because no one has to worry about putting a down payment for a plot they might not ever get, and if you don't get selected by the raffle, you lose nothing, you don't have to waste time sitting in front of a plot sign for hours on end, and you don't have to worry about being refunded a deposit. They've already got their plans for the lottery set in motion based on the several years of lottery suggestions that had already been submitted. More feedback now probably isn't of any use.
At this point, we'll have to see what they do. Assuming the lottery will be implemented at the same time as Ishgard housing (which we don't know for certain, it is just an assumption), I would expect to get more detailed information during one of the 6.1 Live Letters and/or a blog post sometime next year.
