I really would like to be able to put retainers inside the house like we do outside or let us have npcs (menders, junk mongers, etc) that we can adjust to our tastes like we do with retainers. Or both options would be cool too.![]()

Some things I would like to see after decorating houses for the interior design contest — if they’ve already been mentioned previously, then I apologize... but take another posting of them as proof that they are relatively desired:
— An actual loft housing item: everyone glitches the Troupe Stage, but I would like an actual loft item that doesn’t require a glitch. Built-in stairs to it would be a bonus.
— A “rug” of floor tiles: when designing an elaborate master bath in my bondmate’s house, I found myself wishing there were “rugs” of floor tiles for a walk-in shower. In addition to this, I’d like to see more wall options for wall tiling, similar to the brick wall recently added. Or at least make the brick wall dyeable so we can dye it white or black for a make-shift tile look.
— Dyeable White Interior Wall: please, so I can have a color different from white without having to take up item slots for Blank Partitions.
— Blank Partition with Door: the addition of more partitions with doors was nice, but some still don’t fit some of the looks I had in mind, and the Oriental Partition / Paper Partition are still very Eastern aesthetic, and do not always go with more modern, western aesthetics. I’d like a door on the Blank Partition. I know that it would probably have to be a static color to allow the Blank Partition to dye differently from it, so maybe two options to start — a black door and a white door — with colors more added in the future.
— Conversion Of Interactive Items to Static Items: I’m never going to actually “eat” the food I sit out on my tables, so I would like to change them to Static Items so that I can have more picture frames and flower pots without items randomly disappearing all the time. Having to design around that limitation is annoying, because I don’t want my furnishing disappearing on a whim, but then I have to sacrifice design ideas.
— Allowing windows to sit on the partitions: so I don’t have to glitch them every time. Please.
— More modern double beds: I love the feather bed, but it’s so small, so you almost have to build a frame around it in a spacious bedroom to not make it seem so puny. The other double beds are too gaudy for my tastes, or they cannot go well with a simple, modern design. I’d love to see something like a “simple 4-poster bed” to give a bedroom a larger bed, but one that isn’t hard to work with in a neutral or black&white color scheme.
— More item slots: I was happy with the increase, but all the little knickknacks and new furnishing items being added, coupled with lack of customization for walls and/or lack of options in certain categories, I’m squeezing my item limits to death again. Maybe this is only a problem with me, because I like adding in a lot of the smaller items to give homes a more lived-in or homey feel to them, but it’s sad when I have to sacrifice some of the more minute details because of lack of space. :c

Trust me, you are NOT the only one. I would desperately love to see more item slots. I love all the detail we can add, but it's gotten to the point where you can either have a ton of detail and block off parts of your house, or you can spread it out and hope you get an acceptable level of detail for the whole space.More item slots: I was happy with the increase, but all the little knickknacks and new furnishing items being added, coupled with lack of customization for walls and/or lack of options in certain categories, I’m squeezing my item limits to death again. As we're really proud to manage to get a Mansion and starting to furniture and design our little place we call home, we've come onto quite a few issues and wanting to get some features added and maybe even removed from the entire housing system.
Even though Square Enix did a blood well job on the entirety of the Housing, there's still major room for improvements and finetuning!
I hope SE will read this and take these ideas and requests into consideration
Allow personal houses to be transferred to free company houses.
More housing outdoor/indoor furnishings that fit a haunted house/castle. Outdoor cauldron, jail cell walls/door, eerie portraits, single candlesticks, dungeon furnishings(ex. torture equipment), witches house skin, medieval castle skin, outdoor gravestones, more eerie plants and trees, those mini ghosts that you see floating around the city-states and housing wards on Halloween.
Part of me wants more haunted house looking stuff. The other part of me never wants to set foot in either version of Haukke Manor again.More housing outdoor/indoor furnishings that fit a haunted house/castle. Request to Square Enix....
Please increase the item limit something more realistic, the house is very empty because we can't place more items. Same counts for the outside part. Especially the outside. Can't put a lot and the yard looks so empty. Adding an increase for items in housing would make a LOT of people very happy. I hear this all the time from friends. So please think about this...then do it! It would be GREATLY Appreciated!

I got around that issue by using combed wool carpets as carpeting and leaving bare spots i wanted tiles. Looks really slick. Super expensive though.— A “rug” of floor tiles: when designing an elaborate master bath in my bondmate’s house, I found myself wishing there were “rugs” of floor tiles for a walk-in shower. While decorating a friends house I noticed I really want the following things:
- Wallpaper that matches the default wooden-texture on the blank partitions. I happen to really like that and would love to use it for the whole house!
- More floor options that are some sort of carpet - currently we only have the moogle and the haukke manor as carpet options. I dont want shiny tiles or wood everywhere and I dont want to put up rugs all over the place to cover them!
- Curtains. Preferable with the option to have them either open or closed.
- An indoor fountain that doesnt require a whole floor to be placed - I'd like to have a waterfall kind of thing! Or a little fountain, about the size of one of the roundtables!
- Statues that arent creepy - currently it seems we only get statues of Voidsent. What about animals (no, not stuffed ones, they're creepy too)? Or maybe even humans? Statues of The Twelve! The Godbert Statue from the Gold Saucer! Primals! A mermaid for the bathroom! There are a whole lot of options! (I often struggle to fil spaces in the middle of a room and a statue would be a great addition there)
- Windowsills
- Paint and Brushes to go with the easel - I found some replacements for the moment, but they're not the real thing...
...I know I forgot something. I'll edit it in once I remember. Should I remember.
Rocking Chair! Thats what I wanted!
And while we're at it: Please add a one-piece gardening item constisting of two trees and a hammock in between!

When you sign someone's guestbook it should link your own home's address so that people can visit yours in turn.
