I can't read 154 pages to find out if this has already been said, but it would be nice to be able to allow people to enter your apartment without just leaving the door unlocked for any random stranger to wander in. In real life, if you want a friend or family member to be allowed into your apartment, you give them a spare key. It could go in their inventory with other items that aren't regular items, like mark bills and quest items.

I know people can't take things or move stuff around, but even if stuff in my irl house was bolted down I still wouldn't want someone just walking in and being in my private space when I'm not there.

In real life if I stood on top of a camp fire I'd have very burnt feet but unfortunately no PvE fire damage. I get where you're coming from, but I feel like this is also purely situational since there are some cities/towns/villages where people plain don't lock their doors. I'm not disagreeing with you either. I wouldn't use it, but I know people would.

Home owners sort of have a system like this with tenants...

But, they need to be on your friends list, and apartment owners can't have tenants.

I'm not saying tenants, I'm saying people I permit to come in can without me toggling allowing guests, having them come in, then turning it off. They can't add, remove, or move stuff, or do anything of the owner things, but they can come in because they're allowed to. Giving my friend a spare key to my apartment isn't me saying they can live there. It means I don't always have to let them in.

My point was that it makes no sense to have an all or nothing guest system for apartments. I mean haven't they at least heard of buzzing people in?

Though on another note, it's pretty dumb that my in-game spouse doesn't own/rent the apartment with me.
