Funny you should ask this,

We’re currently looking into adding a guest book as a furnishing item for the future so that visitors can leave a comment. However, as there are other tasks at the moment that have higher priority, the details have not yet been finalized.

We're always receiving responses as of why such and such thing can't be implemented because of server space, so I really hope that other kind of QoL features (like a FC calendar or a longer FC message, among other things) are really implemented before this, as you seem to imply.

Such a horrible idea. We all know how good comment systems work in real life (google, facebook, etc). Why would we want to have a book where players could leave comments about us and our rooms or house in game? The dev team doesn't have enough time or resources available to keep a system like this to be "healthy". Please rethink this and put efforts into other things housing related.

Keep it healthy yourself, or don't use the feature. Why is it a "horrible" idea, because you think that people are going to pay for this game just to write bad things in your guestbook? If people really are going to write bad things in your guestbook a lot, maybe you should report them for harassment or disable the feature. Some people I'm sure would like the idea, myself included.

Currently we can know if a visitor has tend our plants by viewing the activity log.
It would be great if it logs access for the house as well,
I think it could log the same player for only one time in a period similar as tend logging.

At least, please implement a visitor log. ^^

If people really are going to write bad things in your guestbook a lot, maybe you should report them for harassment or disable the feature. Some people I'm sure would like the idea, myself included.

1) You would be surprised what people will spend money on, simply to grief others on the internet.
2) A system to "keep it healthy yourself" would be a LOT of development work with abilities to moderate your guestbook. This dev time could easily be better utilized with something else for housing.

I have a few suggestions.

• Allow the ability to reclaim items when a house is demolished
• Allow the Allagan Seating modules to be dyed (just the tron lines not he whole thing like the dragoon augmented gear)
• Allow more things to be dyed period
• Increase the limits for stuff like the Diagnostic Module
• More Allagan themed furniture
• Levathan, Shiva and Ramuh themed decorations (not sure if that already happened with Ramuh)
• Some paintings of the Scions, adventurer's guild leaders, etc

I love the idea of a guestbook. If the FC or player is of such a kind that they expect many nasty comments, they don't have to place it in their house in the first place. And for the general troll guest comments, I find it a decent idea to be able to delete any comments you don't approve of, much like you would on a blog or other social internet media.
For the most time, I reckon the comments won't be as offensive as some people fear.

Take the 1 garden plot restriction away from small houses and 2 plot restriction away from medium houses.... ridiculous to limit the gardens considering all the stuff needed for stables alone.

So, what part of the dev post did you not understand? Was it the part where he said that other tasks have a higher priority at the moment? So it's not coming out soon?

Also keeping it healthy yourself probably isn't that hard. You could probably just, I dunno, not have one?

There was another (I guess confusing) part of the dev post advising this is a furnishing. So you'd have to make one. And place it. Manually. Yourself. Unless you no-more-nails that thing to the floor, I guess you can remove it too if it's too much trouble

Please allow us to use our personal aetheryte like the other ones dotting the zone
Please allow "exit goblet, mist etc" as a feature of the aetherytes
Please add a cooldown timer view at a glance for fertilizing in the garden

How about... I don't know... not having a guestbook in your room? Seems like a radical idea, I'm sure, but it might just be effective at keeping the toxic comments away.
