After messing around with the housing system for a few days I could suggest the following.
- Allow us to add doors and items to wall partitions
- Allow us to add multiple primal items, such as Garuda couch, and Titan lamp. Because we can only add one, you're unable to match them as a pair.
- The ability to add individual chandeliers, not only the same type of chandelier by floor.
- Give us access to the balcony as well as the ability to place items.
- Allow us to stack items.
- Add a craftable furniture that allows us to repair gear
- Add a craftable furniture that allows us to access the market wards
- Fix the cost of teleports inside the home. The prices are super expensive.
- Add practice dummies as furniture.
Housing needs Improvement, Creativity Options
Ah, will add to this thread as well!!
I have been a builder of virtual dimensions.. and I am frankly underwhelmed at the first blush of FF14 Housing!! Currrently it is strictly decorating and not building!
Suggestions
1. Allow vertical Y axis movement of objects, allow resizing of objects, more overlay of objects
2. Allow more placement options within the houses, such as stairs, landings
3. Increase number of objects per house
4. Allow building of interior floors, y axis placement should allow this to occur
5. More base building objects to build interior and exterior items. Don't restrict items to either interior or exterior, allows more creativity for the builder
6. Curved wall building blocks
7. NPC placement for repair, training dummies, retainer
Just a beginning...!!
Builders like to be creative with objects finding new ways to use objects to create novel items, morphing....

There needs to be a way reverse the orientation of an object so that you can flip it like a mirror of itself instead of being stuck with only being able to rotate it 360 degrees.
oh, you should be able to invert, flip, resize on a full x,y and z axis...!!
I've already posted these elsewhere, but...
Creating FC only housing areas in places like Thanalan and Revanent's Toll with house sizes in XL, XXL et cetera so FC's will leave player housing areas.
City Aethercyte for FC only housing areas.
Housing plans to diversify housing design with special designs like a "House that is a tree but also a house" like the one in Legend of Mana, other references, and DoL/DoH specific houses (Black smith house and generic workshop). Note: some housing plans will consume yard space.
An increase in lot and a minimal increase in general housing sizes for garden, kitchen, and possible bathing and restroom items (I feel sorry for my character enough).
FC Only housing will use different housing plans than what is available for player housing.
Housing Items made specifically boosting the crafting abilities for certain classes while inside of their Personal or FC's house.
Eorzea needs mannequins that we can equip items from our inventory, or just allow all artifact and event items to be storable in the armoire, someday.

so saved for months, bought a mansion, put some partitions up(which cant have wall mounted items placed on them),made crap load of furniture, placed it all, hit this ridiculously low item cap, took some items out, wiped tears, made some more partitions, walled off 2 thirds of my basement which is now un-accessable.
so I'm going to assume that the SE ptb have some well thought out calculated plan where theres a reason why they charge you 10 times the price of small, and give you 50 times the space of small, but only let u place 4x the items as small. Seriously Im not sure whos doing your math over there but the item cap to square yalmage ratio is seriously skewed, Now I could write you a book on all sorts of cool wants and wishes but this ITEM CAP towers over them so far that I cant even start, I mean if the moderator relays 1 thing and only 1 thing it has tobe the ITEM CAPP(mostly for large), some clowns in here are saying like 250-300, wrong try upwards of 500. ive got 2/3 of entire floor walled off, NO wall mounted lighting even though there so many of them to craft, hardly any table top items, and lots of echoes from all this remaining open space.
I started doing research on Interior Decorating. (to implement requests from my FC for the house) Zen is a popular style that's foundations lay in the Japanese tradition of simplistic, balance and unity of nature and man. Functionality and ability to multi-function are also important. Simplistic design is proving to be more challenging with the walls. anyways....
Could we get a blank Paintable (dye) White wall option. Both Interior Walls and Partitions.
