Housing Ideas and Feature Requests

Housing Items I want to see:

Twin-Size Beds
I would really love a legit twin side bed. It's already possible to have a double-bed which forces characters to sleep on a "twin-size" portion of the bed instead of directly in the middle. I would love a small shaped and framed bed for a single person.

Mirrored L-Shaped Counters
Why do you only ever have one direction faced L-Shaped table!? We need to be able to mirror them or there should be a "Right Side" AND "Left Side" table added.

Mannequins/Customizable NPCs
For Armor and Weapons, or even NPCs you can dress up INSIDE your house. I hate that you can use your retainers ONLY outside. I want cusomized NPCs to fit my house, not just random servent-like clothing they have on now.

PLEASE remove 1 per estate limit.
If I want to have 5 hot tubs, I should be able to have 5 hot tubs of the same type not just 1 type of each. You cant build a consistant theme if you're stuck having to use different styled furniture to try to match.

Miniture wall-waterfalls
I want plant-like boxes that pour water in a set location, similar to the showers but a wall unit. This would go really well with nature-like themes and I could make good use for it, especially with the hot tubs!

Lower tables
I love the kotatsu but it's not as functional as I would like. It clips all over the place if you try to use it and it just seems messy. I want functional low tables.

Remove the slot food items take in the house
Food items shouldn't count as furniture and should be in a different type of bracket as far as limit. There are so many cool food items I can't use because we're so limited on housing space.

Dye-able Everything
I dont think this needs to be explained.

Music Boxes/Instruments On/Off
I want to be able to toggle music boxes to make them STAY ON playng music until I turn them off.

Jukebox Furniture
Allows you to change the music in your house to like any of the music in the game. They can even have a way or winning or earning music if they want

Fix Breakable Bounded Items
I'd like A storeable inventory for housing items that is LINKED to your house. Exclusively for the rare/ex stuff, its BOUND to your house. Once you place it if you pick it up it goes into its own little housing inventory thing and doesn't break it forever.

Overall Housing item Limit Increase
Mansions have such a small item count it makes having one pointless. I think all of the houses should have an item increase but mansions should have an increase double the amount of medium houses. For example, if there was a 10% increase in items, mansions should have a 20% or even 30% increase in items.

Indoor Combined Furnitures
They did this outside already with one of the new items. It was a table that comes WITH chairs, and small little details like fruit bowls and a candle. If they don't want to increase the limit, having something like this with the small details for only 1 item slot would be greatly welcomed.

Fish tanks
I also want to be able to put any fish that I catch into them.

I'd love to be able to put an Ishgardian Dragonkiller somewhere on my house, they look so badass, lol.

Also, a picture of Ser Aymeric and an Ishgardian banner wouldn't go amiss! (Would complete my Eorzean alliance wall)

We don't have enough water-relater outdoor items in general.

Airship Glamours.

Pretty self explanatory I hope, but given how all Airships are either going to end up being of the Tatanora-type, or some chimera of that and other parts in order to maximize certain stats... Yeah, it would be great to be able to glamour them...

I am still in favor of implementing instanced housing, so everyone can have one.

Aside from that: I want to get rid of the pillars in the walls of oasis houses.

And as others mentioned:
increased item limit for the outside/inside
Make all items retrivable, especially the seasonal items like the bomb lamp
Let us change the type of outdoor ground: sand, stone, short/long grass, flowers....

Being able to dye airship parts would be great. Eventually, being able to identify airships at a glance might be useful, so greater visibility of FC emblems and being able to recolor them would be a good start.

Wish you could dye more of the outside fixtures, like the awning for example, or the placard, or well, everything that you can't atm dye basically xD

Also I will say this a million times, and a million more times...I want a hammock for outside the house that you can /doze in!
