I hope they bring in haukee manor design for housing
A weapon rack would be nice. Sometimes you get really nice weapons and you have to get rid of them once better ones come around. Dunno how possible it would be but it would be awesome to hang my Sasuke's Blades on my wall or something similar.
Oh and more bed models please! My bedroom is Ahriman themed, an Ahriman bed would make my life!

1) Mannequins that are pose-able and display our old gear.
2) Pictures where you can put in your SE screenshots and display them in the house. (EX: A picture of your coil group's first big clear or a group FC shot)
3) Gonna agree with Ferus on that Weapon rack where you can place your old weapons on display.
4) Larger Tables and Rugs so we don't have to combine 4 tables for one really long one.
5) Allow more space for Largest homes even if its only by a little.
6) Being able to customize more of the interior even if only by color.
7)Access to the Balcony and Rooftop for Large homes.
8) Being able to sort the house list of items. It's currently hard to locate items through just the menus.
Put a limit on homes to one house per server, per account. This means one house or one FC house per server per account.
Also put an inactive time limit on homes. If you do not subscribe for a certain amount of time, you lose your house.
Ultima Online did this and it worked very well to open up the plots for everyone.
This. Except I'd propose one personal house per account, not counting FC house. That would mean none of your characters could be in a FC to have a personal house.
And I'd also like to add some item ideas:
Indoors
-Coat rack
-Kitchen sink
-Ice box
-Vanity
-Wall mirror
-A bushier, fuller leaved potted tree
-Music box (The trinket/memento/jewelry box kind not a juke box but I do want one of those as well :>)
-The option to put stuffed animals on your bed
-Dream catchers
-Western style door
-A door that functions as a secret passage way instead of having to run through walls for such things
-An open book table top item, to make it look like you are actually reading
-Eisel and canvas
-Dartboard
-Japanese futon
-Chess / card game set that you can place on your table top
-Pitcher + juice glass food item
-Stained glass windows

Outdoors
-Wind chimes
-Bird house/bird bath with actual birds inside
-A large oak tree with a swing
-Bamboo trees
-Food decorations for your campfire: Roasted yams/chestnuts, s'mores, fish, and kabobs
-Brick/stone mailboxes
-Gravestones
-Hedge bushes
-Christmas/Starlight Festival house lights!
-Welcome mat
-CACTUS DECORATIONS (C'mon, lots of us live in the Goblet!)
-Garden statues
-Ivy covered Gridanian house exterior
Both?
-A small fountain decoration for indoors and a larger pond-like one for outdoors
-Outdoor/non wall mounted shrines

Please, please make furniture in FC peronal rooms NOT be locked to just that player.
One of my FC mates invested a crapload of time and gil to turn his room into a crafting workshop full of DoH furniture, and NOBODY but him can even use them.
A huge waste.

I already have a house and Ragnarok as a whole is not as crowded as many other servers so this isn't really my problem but a friend and I were talking about this again the other day:
Instanced housing. I really, really think it's the main way to go.
It can be little things like personal room appartments with plant box usable window sills or it can be huge mansions on private islands. It can have as many or as few elements as they want and they can add more whenever they feel like it of course.
When players don't access it for more than a couple of days or weeks (or there may even be a way for a player to manually activate this themselves), their plot becomes archived and removed until they try to go back to it. It may have a short delay on re entry to get the property back into the game but it should mean a lot more properties are possible on every server without placing anywhere near as much stress on the servers. It doesn't have to be persistent and once it gets archived it doesn't have to exist at all as far as the game knows (aside from a little 1 or 0 indicating it exists). It can also offer a much wider range of options, from sizes to locations to themes.
Keep neighbourhoods, there's no reason to get rid of them, but a lot of people have saved up money for houses that are bought out within minutes of their creation on some worlds.
How about just having enough housing in the first place, cause right now none of this matters when there are no houses to even buy.
I recently bought a small house and after that, my friends and I formed our own FC We are now scrambling to try to make money to afford a new medium size house.
Allow us to give permission to people on our friends list to not only be able to access my house freely, but to create their own private chambers as well as the person who owns the house maybe 10-15 private chambers allowed. This would help smaller FCs such as mine
Giving people access to open up private chambers & allowing us more ability to put more decorations and useful equipment inside and outside small/medium houses I believe would encourage people to hang out and use the wards more.
Being alone in my house is very disheartening.
I'm currently trying to earn enough gil to see if we can buy a medium house for our small FC. There's nothing opened but I am hoping in time something will. Hyperion is a very crowded money hungry server. We're 3 million gil into our goal but it's a struggle and taking time.
