1. Make ALL, yes, 100% all, current housing/building/environmental (plants, rocks, ponds, etc)/clutter (books, burlap sacks, papers, etc) assets available to players. The assets are already in the game, let us use them, PLEASE! The current list of assets is unnecessarily limiting. If it's a matter of feeling a need to have unique component requirements for each one, don't worry about it! Having the items available is a lot more important than the "realism" of separate component requirements for every single thing.
Go check out the Hawthorne Hut; it's a great example of what we're missing, particularly the kitchen. The multiple awnings and awesome big-ass window over the front door are great too.
2. Make ALL, yes, 100% all, furnishing, rug, wall hanging, tables, etc assets dyable. It truly boggles my mind why some items are, and some very similar items aren't, dyable (looking at you Manor furniture!).
3. Mirroring of items; particularly the L-shaped ones like counters and couches.
4. I'd love the ability to transfer my personal room at the FC house to my personal house. I would gladly give up the ability to have a room at the FC house if I could have it attached to my personal house. A one-or-the-other option per character wouldn't take up any extra server space than is already allocated though and would be a nice touch.
5. Add an upstairs floor/attic space in Small houses. See #4 above; this is a perfect combination.
6. Ability for Eternal Bond partners to have (selectable) rights to the house and attach his/her own personal room to it as well. I'm not asking for a pseudo-FC house where anyone can add a room, just my spouse. It would be nice to actually have private rooms that are more than blockaded/partitioned sections of the rest of the house though.
7. Increase the number of item slots by at least 20% (preferably more) for each size and location (indoor/outdoor) of house/plot. The current limitation in both item availability and number allowance makes even small houses feel somewhat empty. Increasing the number of items allowed in a house will allow us to add the "clutter" (more books, flowers, food, paintings, etc) that make a house feel like a home and not a hotel room.
8. Add the ability to stack table items such as crates, barrels, books, etc. Also, see #1 above. There are a ton of assets the environment team has used to create a more realistic world, including stacked items. Please let us do the same in our little space in the world.
9. This is a big one: Delayed Binding of housing elements. As it stands right now the immediate binding of an item upon use is a big problem. Oftentimes, if not EVERY time, it's rather difficult to get a real idea of what an element is going to look like until it's placed. Immediate binding is an unnecessary mechanic and only serves to create inventory bloat. Give us some time, maybe 24 hours of real-world play time, to mess with area/room design before an item binds. If you want to limit this feature to non-star items to preserve rarity of the more challenging items, go for it. If that Glade Chair I just made doesn't work in my space I'd like to be able to give it to a friend or FC mate.
10. "Magical Pictureframes" that allow us to import screenshots as wall hangings. The best thing about this is the image data are stored on our computers so you don't need to worry about additional server assets being used all the time!
11. Weapon racks. I've seen them in the game already, let us have some of our own please! Armor mannequins would be great too.
That's enough for now. If you're a player and read this far, props to you. If you're on the Community team, I hope you read all this and will pass it on. "I look forward to it!"
