I know it had been asked before, but I'll ask it again just to bring it to the design team's attention (and let users know which are confirmed)

Things that are already confirmed to be working on/look into:
    • Jukebox (can we get 2 or 3 designs for this please? Probably one for each city or something)
    • Triple triad table (same as above)
    • Adjustable lighting intensity (maybe a 3 stage option or scalable bar)
    • Removing destruction of furniture upon removal

Things that had been requested before:
    • Adjustable lighting location
    • Single color dye-able wallpaper
    • "Chamelon" wall partition that matches the wallpaper
    • Allowing minions to roam the estate
    • Mirroring of furniture
    • Scalable size for furniture

I would just be happy if The flame storage bench didn't lie about the storage it offered.

It'd be nice if we could have more functions in private chambers. Personally I'm not finding a reason to get a chamber if it's just for decorations. If you are in a FC with a house it's most likely that the functions are controlled by a few officers in charge, so most lowly grunts don't have the same luxury.

So here are my suggestions for private chamber functions that each player (in an FC) can also enjoy:

    1. Retainer similar to the ones outdoors [1 per chamber]
Has the same function as the ones outside the house (selling your stuff). I really want to have a personal butler or a cute maid tending to my (soon-to-have) room.

    2. Personal mini-garden. [1 per chamber]
I'm okay with having just one 4-slotted mini-garden. Just let me grow my own Krakka roots! :'(

    3. Mannequins to dress up [1 or 2 per chamber]
I heard a while back that this is a go, but it'd be nice if us lowly grunts who don't have housing rights could also enjoy this feature.

I am thinking if these benefits could also be extended to Personal Housing, though it might be redundant as they already own the whole house.

    I would be happy with:
    1. More bathroom stuff. Toilet, maybe even a golden one, sink. 'mirror'.
    2. More Kitchen stuff: Give us a stove that isn't just the cooking station. Maybe pots and pans we can place on stuff. plates and forks. Bottles, mugs. Non 'use for buff' foods.
    3. More dyeable items: I'll ask this for player armor as well, but yes make more of the items dyeable.
    4. More walls: Need more that match the wall papers, or make them gain the wallpaper of whats being used, or least have a new wall that does that so we have an option. Also more half walls of the other wall types, as well as half walls width wise. Sometimes you only need half a wall or less, and shoving one wall inside the other can cause z fighting for most of us. (where the two objects flicker as to what ones in 'front')

    Part 2:
    5. Chose where your cealing light is: Sorry but having that darn thing dead center of the room makes placing walls with out blocking it annoying.
    6. Remove default wall pillars: These thing's are annoying. At least let us move or remove them. Because of them you have small spots where you can't put anything flush against the wall. Working around them is also meh.
    7. Allow for item scaling (with limits): Maybe I want that rug to be smaller to fit in the space I am using, but don't want my whole room to be consumed by a moogle plushie. Or maybe I want to turn that desk into a mini desk for my plushies to sit at.
    8. Change pose for beds: Sorry but some of the sleeping poses for beds just make me go O.o I'd love a change pose for sleeping so you can chose how you're laying. Maybe some 'awake but laying' poses. Plus... truely being laying. Sorry but my kitty with her head propped in her hands and feet in the air... I rather her be curled up.

scaling of items and being able to have a minion stay in house AND garden walking around would be nice.

    Weapons Rack

I think it would be awesome if we had a weapons rack that we could display our old weapons on. There could be different style racks for the different weapons. I would like to fill my wall with all the different lances in the game.

So, lets talk about Seasonal Events...

Something similar to the last Christmas event would be great. For those that don't remember, we had to visit the wards to find trees (which were furnishings players placed) to do a daily quest. The rewards were mostly furniture related, two of which I think had a lot of missed potential; the Empty Twinkleboxes, and the Empty Gift Boxes, which were furniture and outdoor furniture respectively. Why the emphasis on 'empty'? Well, because of how they could have been used. Increasingly, Seasonal Events have been rewarding players with items which, when used, provide some novel amount of Gil in Allagan Pieces. I believe the ones in the Christmas event could even give you something a bit more lucrative, like Thavnairian Onions. Now, lets imagine you couldn't use these yourself, and instead had to give them to someone else (the season of giving, after all). How could we achieve that? Perhaps with some empty containers placed at our residence. You give someone a gift in this way, you obtain whatever to allow you to purchase some of the event furniture. You placed a box and someone left you something, you can interact with it to obtain the items, sort of like a Secret Santa event. Up to you whether you go around leaving gifts for random people at their private houses, or instead sneak around your Free Companies Private Rooms dropping off gifts for guild mates.

Now lets do Easter. This is easy, just have an Egg Hunt event in the wards. Similar in style to some of those collection FATEs, but without the items being individual; Other player could beat you to picking up the Egg. Why do that? Because there are 48 wards and it would be a better idea to spread people out across all of them, rather than having a repeat of the Christmas event where only the first few wards really saw any people (and subdivisions got completely screwed). Daily quest, find X amount of Eggs and report back. That would certainly make all wards fairly active for the season.

Halloween? Lets repeat the same idea as the Christmas one, but put a spin on it. Rather than random players visiting your house and leaving gifts, the house owner leaves gifts for random people in costume to come pick up, "Trick or Treat". Bonus points if we can throw eggs at the houses of people not doing so, with a way for the owner to easily clean up, of course. That could actually be a nice indicator of abandoned homes; If they're not leaving anything out, perhaps they're just not into the event. If the house is still covered in eggs six months later, they haven't visited in six months. A much better test than "I walked around my ward and nobody was around".

Wouldn't work for every event, of course. Things like Little Ladies Day are a bit too odd in that regard, though perhaps I'm just lacking imagination. Summer might work, though I still want the XIV team to take pointers from the XI team in that regard. The summer minigames in XI were pretty good. I imagine that would be a bit more extra work though, since each of the wards are a bit different. I could imagine some beach related event going on in the Mist, perhaps something more floral in the Lavender Beds.

Wouldn't even have to be something solely for home owners, either. That Trick or Treat thing could just be part of the event by default, and an Egg Hunt could just be an alternative to FATE grinding. The only one which really seems unique to home owners, which might be perceived as an unfair bonus to them, is the Christmas one. Slap some Festive Mail Mogs around that act the same as the empty boxes, who'll send your gift off to some random player through the Mail Mog system, with anyone who owns land or a Private Room not being on that list. Simple. Really would be nice if the wards played a more active part in Seasonal Events, even if it is just for a few events a year, it would be nice to see the wards more active as a result.

I just wanted to come second the Jukebox idea. I am chilling in the FC house and these tunes just aren't what I'm into. I think it'd be awesome to buy or craft a jukebox for my room/house and be able to somehow get records for it. I can not emphasize how much I would absolutely love to be able to just chill in my room, talking with friends, and listening to Ramuh's theme. If we got the record or crafting component for it from duties it could help get players back into some of the older content as well. I'd certainly head back to some older dungeons/trials for them!

Anyways... that's just my two cents.

    Servants. Not necessarily interactive.

For example, in Bloodshore there is an Elezen playing relaxing music with harp and a bunch of dancing Miquote. They would be a great addition to somewhat empty mansions.
A barmen, chef, maid, gardener, etc. Houses are a luxury after all, according to both lore and actual market.

Again, even if they had only simple animation and stock phrase, it would be a big help in making things more lively.
