How about an option to sell your house back to the game for 2/3 the purchase cost instantly, minus the construction fees.. or auction (open house) furnished or unfurnished. That might help clear up housing issues on some servers.

Feature request: I am hoping the next little lady's event/ or upcoming ones that we can get those little bird looking statues. I find them adorable and want them on my mat outside to bring the "life" appearance outside.

It was mentioned before but repeating it can't hurt.

The ability to place minions in your house and yard. You could have 2-3 minions running around your yard and another 2-4 inside your home, running around and just adding some life to the house.

FYI i dont know if it is coming to personal houses... it freakin better... but the new FC crafting workshop has been previewed to let you change the position of your house on its plot and change the outside appearance with way more customization.

That's nice, but positioning isn't always the problem, is there any news for having rooftops?
Actually accessing the balcony of mansions would be nice, but mansion roofs are just bulky generally speaking, they could perfectly make a flat part on top of it for players to access via an indoor door or something, and let us get to the top of our houses to enjoy the view, maybe to better view the skies, or the lake, or the beach, you get it?

yeah defiantly open up the balcony for mansions. so pretty much a roof terrace?



a roof terrace would allow a nice view of the neighborhood plus another way to customize.



could even come up with a couple nice spiral staircase designs that you would put on the top floor to unlock the roof.

How about having a weapon rack/wall mount where you could put your old weapons and shields on display.

On the other side of things, how about a manikin that you can dress up with armor you're no longer using too?

A guest book would be nice. People could leave a name and a rating or generic pre fab comment. Giving people the choice to add their own message would leave you open for harassment. A second suggestion would be adding curtains, would love to see city state drapes or chocobo yellow/moogle white curtains.

Every idea in this thread are wonderful!! I love the fact that ppl are really driven to make housing better.

Copy Rift se...once again I am /praying you allow us to build and create > just dropping someone elses work down and that's that.

Please please take all these wonderful ideas ppl have and let US make it happen, in our own personal way. Rework the core ui and let us build and design unique homes and everything in them!!

Lets change housing from a 1/10 for player creativity and depth, to a 10/10!!

I would like different options for the staircase. Treat it like the chandelier and allow us to change it out. The ones we have now re very limiting.

More indoor plants, I cannot get enough of those XD.

Also MORE SLOTS! The amount of slots we have are just too limiting.

Some new options for exterior fixtures would be great! The roof and wall decorations are fairly limited currently. Here's a few suggestions.

Roof Decorations
Striking Pole/Levinrod: A rod that occasionally crackles with electricity and attracts lightning strikes during rain and storm weather.
Antennas: A lunar transmitter replica or other Garlean, Allagan or Ironworks technology, whether for aetherial or radio wave signals.
Balloons, Kites and Windsocks: Weather balloons or various festive floats, and kites in animal, monster or airship shapes.
Flags and Banners: With designs for each Grand Company, or your Free Company's standard! Don't forget Ala Mhigo, Ishgard and Doma!

Wall Decorations
Lookout Tower: A fortified guard post with installed anti-air harpoon. As a bonus, it's a convenient way to reach the manor's roof!
Deluxe Retainer Counter: A fully stocked marketplace stall (with a canopy!) like those used by NPCs in major cities.
Garden Shed/Pumphouse: An enclosed utility shed for storing garden or stable implements, pumping fresh water, washing laundry, etc.
Magitek Generator: Garlean or Ironworks power generator like those found in various Imperial Castra, with glowing lights and dials!

Edit: Also seconding the curtains and drapes request! An FC member made a comment earlier today about separating spaces with hanging cloth, and some dressing would go a long way to liven up the windows.
